News Heavy training phase

given some of the boys were out night clubbing a few weeks ago, probably makes sense as those clubs are hot spots for catching other people's symptoms.
Well who knows. But when you're a highly tuned athlete I'd expect it's pretty easy to catch just about anything.

You'd think a players kid could catch something at school, it gets transferred, and then easily transferred again. Pure guess.

Except Carlton players.

I still wouldn't factor out the gastro. It's not like you immediately regain all your strength.
But we'll see.
I had it around my birthday a couple of years back. Lost 6-7kgs in the space of the 4-5 days I had it and was tired and lethargic for a few days after that.

However if they had it as bad as that I struggle to see how they'd have played either game at all as I did have it quite bad. ut yes it does drain your energy for a few days afterwards.

where was this mentioned?
On VFL coverage last weekend, stated that we'd had a bout of gastro in the week leading up to the Pies game

Amazing what panadeine and hydralyte/gastrolyte can do on match day for the runs.

It's bs.
Especially as Geelong have dropped training hours from 34 to 26, and Scott said after the carlton game they might have to start training them harder.
Someone was telling me the other week that the week before the Pies game they did 33 and it was planned again for the Blues week.. increasing the loading

Person who told me that also speaks a large amount of shit so I didn't take a heap of notice

Also not sure if this means anything but i had 2 young blokes dart across the road in front of my car this morning on my way to work, about 8.13... Joel Selwood and Josh Caddy.

I wondered where the hell they would be going at that time in the morning, on my way home double checked the door I saw them go into

Yoga place
Assuming an 8:30 class.. I am wondering if it is part of a program, an extra or a recovery thing?

Id query the intensity not the hours , just like I question the sentiment of ... "they practice a heap of goal kicking"

To me two weeks in a row..the backline has looked overwhelmed when either unable to play at their preferred pace or being harangued and pressured. They looked unable to cope with the heat... was it a mental approach to the game..an over confidence? Why they would have had it , I have no idea.

I'm in the wrong career

If I even thought of doing that you could guarantee the bowels of hell would open up and the demons of outrage, vengeance and pain would erupt to eviscerate me, behead me, and cut off my hands to stuff them down the stump of my ragged neck.

Probably explains why I'm not so hands on :p

Can never have too much yoghurt.

I was waiting for this old chestnut to be dragged out. It's like every time we have a form slump it's due to heavy training loads. Maybe there's some truth to it? Long way to go in this season and a lot can happen between now and the finals.
