I agree the jonas hit is a lot worse, and you are correct to point this out. I guess that the bottem line is that a maybe clear sognal has been sent that head knocks are not part of a footballer earning a living.

But flying knees and bumps are fine.

Look how nic nat protects Amon by cradling him as Nics hips take the impact to the ground, well executed tackle.
I actually think he was too nice, almost tucked him in and read him a story.

Ok i accept that, and appogize for saying stuped and rubbish, but nic nat kind of pushes aside the eagle player who had amon covered in his blood lust zeal. Also on amore serious note, regardless of team support knocks to the head can be serios from the football field and this does not make it a mans game.
Would you feel the same if it was Dixon on Gaff?

I can guarantee you that most, if not all, posters on this board would be saying hard tackle, free kick is all that it deserves. It's unfortunate the was an "injury" but remember we are playing a man's CONTACT sport.

Not sure if you're just trolling, but seriously there's nothing to gain from posting this on our board.

So if you are named as an emergency does that mean you are fit and healthy to play??
If you played one week and get omitted the next week does that mean you were just not good enough to hold your spot??
And if your team sprouts all week that you suffered a concussion so had to spend time on the bench and will probably not play this week, does that mean they were just making crap up to make an incident/accident look a lot worse than it actually was to punish a team you don't like?
In reality though you were dragged and never going to play the following week but it helped punish an opposition player by sprouting crap.

Just saying.

gee that still makes me mad. what a sniper! Barry Hall-like
Not much that happens on the footy firld makes me genuinely angry, but this was one of the dirtiest acts I've ever seen.

Now this is what could result in a broken neck or serious injury, not a tackle that happens regularly.

Michael Christian has cleared Luke Parker for his bump that sent Impey from the ground last night.

Not Naitanui related but Jesus I hate the Parker report. Let’s see how hard it’s paraded around by the MRO this week in his harsh new stance on contact.

Nah **** it. It’s either all in or all out, none of this wishy washy shit. If Nickers is getting rubbed out for a ****ing tackle then Parker has to go for a bump.

Christian needs to go. I wonder what Nic's "realistic alternative" was; calculate his tackling force and action based on weight difference, in 0.8s? Lay a big hip and shoulder, potentially resulting in 2 or 3 weeks suspension? Let Amon dispose of the ball allowing Port to go forward?

This bloke is an absolute spud, batting thousands of leagues out of his own.

I posted this in the other Christian thread Mop but the AFL doesn't even care about being consistent. It's all the way the AFL wants it, not all in or all out, as it should be.

Actually, that's a complete fallacy by Christian too, his realistic alternative, on this occasion, was to tackle.

I would rather one ridiculous decision and then the sport gets back to normal, rather than them picking a hill, dying on it and wrecking the sport.

The Yeo one, however, will be very interesting. I think they’re vastly different tackles but let’s see how steadfast Christian wants to be about his little crusade.

That's the thing HoneyBadger35 I don't see it as a crusade, becasuse he's not being consistent on it. I am not exactly sure why he chose Nic's tackle, but I don't get the feeling of crusade, because he'd be pinging everything if he was on a crusade, and he's not.

I think he just ****ed up, but doubled down rather than admit the whole process is amateur hour. I reckon we will see things go back to normal now, best not to keep reminding Christian of the stupid decision or he will think he needs to back it in further.

While I'm glad Parker didn't get a week for what was a pretty simple contest, just speaks volumes to the absolute ****wittery and agenda of the AFL.

So glad we won today, EAD Christian and EAD AFL.

As far as I can tell, the only difference in Nic Nat's tackle and Yeo's from today on Dylan Shiel, is size differential. Yeo's was awesome by the way, and not even thought of as a free kick.

So does Nic Nat's tackle being illegal mean the AFL has a new rule in tackling? Only tackle opponents the same size as you or get banned?
