Heffernan on Talking Footy, impressive.

Since Id never seen him in an 'interview' type situation, thought he was quite articulate and presented himself and his club very well.

Spoke with respect towards other clubs and didnt overstate (no matter how much Caro and Walls tried to coax him) his own clubs achievments thus far.

If he is being talked about as a future captain, on that performance it is easy to see why.

Yeah, Heff is a bloody top player, with a good footy brain. I've been singing his prasies for a couple of years now, since his feats (in a team with Hird, Lloyd, mercuri, Misiti etc) go unheralded.

He has that unique ability to create time and space for himself, he is tall, but can play either "tall" or "small", is a good kick, a top mark, and wins the ball. If he was at any other club, he'd probably be in the top 4, but with us, he's about number 7 or 8, which is still bloody good.

And as he showed tonight, he speaks very well to.

Yes, I was about to post something similar...I actually thought Talking Richmond wasn't that bad last night, but Heffernen was excellent. When they said he was the guest, I was "why?" but he proved to be interesting and definitely future leadership material.

Thought it was a kind of boring show, but Wallsy made some very valid points.

That Caro though...I just hate her...and she made some stupid remarks.

Why does she have to screw up her face every time she talks???

And she's certainly hedging her bets about whose going to coach Freo so she can be the hero to say that "I picked that".

Heffernan was good, no doubt about that. But I doubt he'd be the top 4 at MOST clubs Dan. I think he's about your 12th best player Dan.

I think Dan may have been a little eager. However Blues2001 seeing him play week in week out for the past few seasons, there is no doubt that Heffernan is in our top 10. He doesn't get recognition as he is not a flashy player. Heffernan is rarely beaten and it very workmanlike who can play small and tall, and has a great kick. Hasn't played for a majority of the season and is now starting to get used to the pace of the game again. He is an important player in our premiership aspirations.

Thought he presented himself and the club in glowing terms last night. The EFC would have been approached by Ch7 to have a player on the show. It's obvious as to why Heffernan was chosen.

Heffernan is rated pretty highly, but still underrated IMO!

At his best I reckon he can be in our top 5. He does so many little things which many people dont notice and is very much a team player.

I cant speak highly enough of Heff.

Yeah he spoke really well and definatly impressed. Is a pretty good player as wellwho can play in a number of roles

on recent form i would say that you couldn't rate solomon or blumfield too highly (yes i know blumfield has been out).

and mercuri wouldn't be at 6 on current form, but as heffer said, he is highly respected, just not having a great year so far.

i expect the cream to rise to the top though come finals time.

And that was following his first season as a regular senior player. They must have seen something in him. Glad he decided to stay!

Heff was just beautiful on TF last nite but i still think the way Josh Fraser handled himself on there was the best!
