Hell in a Cell (2012)

I dont care what anyone says. Ryback is awesome! Wonder if Punk was supposed to have gone through the cell? Certainly seems that way.
Too dangerous. WIth Ryback's move he could've had half is body in the part that one might suspect would break. He could've been tipped and landed on his head.

If Punk had a running start and shot over his head, then maybe, but the move done is too dangerous for Ryback to risk putting Punk through the rood.

What a terrible PPV. They've been building up the fact that Ziggler was going to cash in at HiAC and yet he was no where to be seen?

Didnt get it wish I did sounded pretty good

Big Show has impressed me pretty happy he won the title deserves it after years of service to the wrestling business

Then why do the spot in the first place? Why not jut do it in the ring? There is no doubt in my mind that Ryback threw himself forward, as close as he could to the steel frame, and planted Punk right in the middle of the netting area. It's completely ridiculous as like you said, Ryback could have gone through as well and landed on his head. I still think they attempted this huge ass spot to end the show and make it memorable for that moment as compared to the match.

Probably way off though.

You wish you had of wasted your money on that crap? Seriously, I'm annoyed I wasted bandwidth downloading it. Terrible, terrible, PPV. The WWE is in a bad way. The whole show had no atmosphere or buzz or whatever you wanna call it at all. Shaemus and Show was a decent match, but really, who gives a crap about those two. The main event was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Was obviously just a second choice match with Cena not fit enough to wrestle Punk again and they had no idea how to write it, so they just came up with a bunch of shit filled with lame interference.

What a waste of a PPV.

WWE does things so half-arsed. Perfect time to have Ryback beat Punk and crown a new champ, a new star, instead they go with this confused, dusty as all hell finish with some random referee cheating.

Can't comment on the rest of the PPV as I was pretty much just fast-forwarding the whole way.

I think he dumped in the middle as its the safest spot, watch how Punk immediately rolls himself over onto the beams to ensure it doesnt break under him

As soon as the ref low blowed i went "ziggler" Ryback will go bananas beat the hell out of punk, then ziggler will cash in and win the title. Ending the streak and becoming the star....... Maybe that made too much sense

Given he won the SD MITB and has a contract for a World Heavyweight Title Shot then no it wouldn't make any sense at all to try and cash in on Punk and the WWE championship...

Ask Mick Foley if the middle is the safest spot....

I agree it was a bit of a waste. But, like Vengeance last year, the matches themselves were all solid. I completely disagree, however, about Ryback. It would've been a terrible decision for Ryback to just win the title out of no where. The WWE are building Punk up for a Year+ reign and a match with Rock at the RR.

Whilst the whole build and PPV was average, what they did with the referee, was probably the best they could've done in a lose/lose situation. Seemed like a knee-jerk reaction to Cena being injured. Should've been Punk vs Cena. Would've at least had some backstory and meaning.

Punk has sprouted off for months about wanting respect, claims he is the best in the world

Then spends 90% of the match running away from ryback scared..........

It's because they've built up Ryback as an unstoppable beast who just monsters everyone. I really don't see where they can go with him if they make him unbeatable, without resorting to absurd interference storylines every time they need him to lose.

Where is mark henry at the moment?
Thats the whole storylines irony, you could see it a mile off after Cena, Vince and Foley all did that line "You want respect, meet _____ in the Cell". How can you enter the Cell and do something to not earn respect? Cheat.

HHH did it for years with Evolution and even before with the SCSA and HHH angle, hell he did it most of his career. Works great aslong as you perform like Punk will.

I thought it was ok, lucky I came on here to be set straight :D

Was thinking there would be more than one HIAC matches - would've been better

I disagree, an uneeded cell does nothing imo. Rivalries need to develop to a point a specific match is needed to end things. No rivalry had built up to that point at hiac. They did fine out of a shit situation with the booking of the 1 match that had it at the last ppv, but it'd have no benefit elsewhere. There was only 1 rivalry that was over 1 month old and do you really think they'd put 3 divas in a cell?

Look, as much as I enjoy Elimination Chamber, Extreme Rules, Money in the Bank, Hell in a Cell and TLC PPVs, it takes away from the rest of the board and in a whole makes the product worse.

You force a match into 1 spot and you have to have it, but placing it elsewhere as well leads to overkill.

HIAC matches are generally brutal, put them in spots where rivalries can end, if you have a heel who gets himself counted out and runs away from a fight, put him in a cell where he cant escape.

Yeah fair enough ^ I like HIC matches tho so was being greedy. Bloody annoying in plain cage matches how they just run away to win. :p

He's been Champion multiple times before.

Since when does 'time served' mean shit anyway...

His had the championship a couple of times he did let Bryan cash in on him after he had it for 30 seconds

Doesn't mean much I guess I just like to see blokes that have been with the business for a long time get rewarded Kane is another one was good to see him get a decent run with the title not that long ago

Add Mark Henry to the list.
