Agree that they run the risk of hitting a spectator, but if you look at the overhead shot of the Stybar incident you can clearly see the stupid spectator has his/her arm out holding a camera about 2 feet over the fence. smacks him straight in the face, seriously unlucky if you ask me!

van den Berg hitting an idiot fan, god damn that's unfortunate.

Cancellara applies pressure with 15.2km left, he's a beast this guy. Good response from the other two in this breakaway - Vanmarcke and Stybar.

Jesus the spectators getting in the way here, another moron almost causes a crash by sticking out his hand. Stybar the unlucky one in this case and that causes him to fall back from the leading group. Terribly unlucky.

Slow right down in the final kilometre, it's going to be a sprint to the finish between Vanmarcke and Cancellara. Lots of mind games!

Here we go.... into the velodrome. What a win from Cancellara, great finish!

amazing day, went to the start and then was at 2 different pave sections [un-f-ing believable] and finally saw the epic finish in the velodrome from a good vantage spot:
