hmm in the last couple of years my right ear feels like its blocked up it stays like this for a few weeks then goes away then the it come back about a month later

Would loud music be a realistic cause of this?

See a GP and avoid asking for medical advice on the net is my suggestion.

I've had a badly blocked ear before and although the main problem was an infection, there was actually NO wax in there and it was too dry. Considered flushing it myself with something from the chemist (as I thought that it was just wax blockage) but the GP claimed that it may have caused further damage.

It's actually useful protection and lubrication.

You obviously need to keep the outside clean to prevent blockage but flushing it all out may be dangerous (might not be possible though - infection aside). The yellowish crap that reaches the outside of the ear also contains trapped dirt and debris.

Forget the ears. I had a tiny bit of brick shoot up into my eye from the bricksaw at work the other day and was stuck in there for a couple of days. That was irritating as hell with every blink. Noticed today that it was gone so all good.
