If you're pooling money I'd say do it for a greater cause, his health.

We can handle the gear for him.

Not said enough, but you are a legend Stig!!
Greatest club to be a part of, nothing better.

Not sure what to do about the money thing, as Stig said the club can handle giving him gear. Really awesome of all of you to want to give for Isaiah :)

thanks to RFC_Official who organised for Isaiah and his mum to attend training today, where he was given a richmond jumper, scarf, beanie and footy, and got to meet and get some autographs from players (including his favourite player Reece Conca - who cuddled his teddy bear called 'Conca' and signed it for him). Sadly I was unable to get there as I had to work, but his mum tells me he had a massive grin on his face the whole time. I will post some pics after tomorrow, when we get to take Isaiah into the rooms before the game before initiating him to the MCG and hopefully a tigers win.

The club and yourself are absolutely amazing. Really Really amazing. Makes me so proud to support such an amazing group of people.

It is one of the MANY reasons we are proud of the RFC. Having said that, I should expand that and say these are the extra things that football clubs do that endears them to their fans out there ....... BRILLIANT :thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

That's awsome!

Well I have to say that was the most amazing day! Big win, got to take Isaiah and his mum, three of my boys and my oldest's (Josh who many of you know from our previous adventures) girlfriend (who he recently convinced to switch from Collingwood) down into the rooms before the game. Thanks again to RFC_Official for hooking us up with the change room passes and tickets to the game. It was great to meet him just a class guy. For those of you who have been in the rooms you'd know that you stand behind bars and watch the boys prep for the game. No interaction at all with them. Well we got down there early and it was a good thing because Cotchy had been out on the ground and came down and one of the security guards brought him over and we had a chat, he signed Isaiah's cotchy bear (apparently the day before at training he looked at the bear which says best and fairest on the back - and said - 'won't be winning that this year' :D ) and my number 9 on my jumper - he personally signed it much to my man-crush delight. Just such a great guy. So we go into the rooms and watch the boys prepare. Highlights for me were seeing Steve Morris eating his third hot cross bun and some of the boys trying to kick and throw footys at a ball caught in the net hanging from the ceiling, Matt White was the winner. After about 20 mins of watching the boys warm up we are asked to leave and as we were about to file out, Jeff Blackburn the head of security tells us we can bring Isaiah down after the game and he will try and get his favourite player to come and talk to him. Can not speak more highly of this bloke, he was the one who got us down in the rooms in 09 when my boy Josh was on treatment and introduced us to the players as they were leaving. Absolute legend.
Then its up to the southern stand where we manage to find some awesome seats and enjoy a tiger win despite the incredibly obnoxious bomber kid behind me who felt it was his god-given right to boo every time richmond got the ball and yell (full credit to the kid he was so loud!) common EssendonnnnnnN!!!!! and basically say how they were going to win even when they were 40 points down. Seriously think he was a few sandwiches short. An embarrassment to himself, his family and all his ancestors. Isaiah was screaming out go tigers! and just loving every minute, sang the song with gusto and had the biggest grin on his face.
Then after the match down into the rooms and got to line up against the wall of the hall the players come out to leave and hunt for signatures, my young boy got heaps of them - slept in his signed jumper last night :D and Isaiah also got more signatures on his jumper and another chat with Reece and his dad just great guys photo below of Reece with Isaiah. We also had cotchy come up again for a chat he had so much time for us just love the bloke. Seemed pretty confident for next week, the exchange went a bit like this: Cotch: so, carlton next week. Me: Yeah should go alright. Cotch: Yeah we'll smash em. Me: Yeah you weren't really trying last time were you? Cotch: Nah
All said firmly tongue in cheek of course, he has such a wry sense of humour.
Jack walked past in his suit and tie, seemed to be moving well, no sign of injury. He signed jumpers for us too.
Well thats pretty much it thanks everyone for your support, the help received from this thread was definitely more than I ever hoped for!

Brings a tear to the eye reading about Isaiah's battle. I'm glad the club realises that although they are just a group of people who kick around a ball, they carry such power and inspire so many. This is why our club is so great and support has continued for so long through some dark years.

Best of luck to you and Isaiah

PS Hope he put in a good word with Conca, signing jumpers and bears is amazing but we need him to sign that contract too!

just brings a smile to your face so proud to be a tiger supporter at the moment just when you think you cant admire the club anymore something like this happens and elevates it to a new level, thanks for sharing darth

It sucks what happens to these young kids (and indeed all people) but it's always amazing to see how they cope and deal with the hand their dealt and still try and live their lives to the fullest.

Great stuff DT and RFO - we are all part of the wider Richmond family and it's always great to see the club looking after its own.

Also, young Tyler should get some kind of reward/recognition for being an ambassador to the club and helping bring in new fans like Isaiah :thumbsu:

Tyler and Isaiah will hopefully be catching up this week. From all reports both are absolutely ecstatic at the thought of meeting each other.

You just have to love this club.

I feel proud to call myself a " Richmond " supporter.

GO ISAIAH !!!
GO TYLER !!!
GO TIGERS !!!
