This clown (Hawthorn supporter) started a thread on the Brisbane board asking for votes.

Well, simple question really, and if you're not aware Foxtel may just play the Round 21, 2008 game that Carlton pipped you guys in next Tuesday night.
But there is a choice....

And I'm sure you'd rather watch something else...say for example, Mathew Lloyd being fed a bevy of fists to the head, courtesy of Campbell Brown in 2005.

If you would rather watch Brown smash Lloyd, than Carlton come of the top of your beloved Lions, do the world a favour( and us Hawks) and VOTE NOW.

http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,26579501-23211,00.html

p.s. Yes, you probably don't want to help out a Hawk, but think of the consequences of having Blues supporters relive that game, and of course, think of the children.

:o

Yeah... but a thousand votes?

Someone had to sit there literally all night clearing cookies and clicking a tab.

Probably this guy:

YouTube

That's not Jeff Kennett?
I voted, but don't have the patience for all that cookie monster stuff.
Should we just let them have it?
We'll have so many more great wins to watch, and Essendon lose, Lloyd gets beaten up… it's as close to a Carlton win we can get without us being involved. :p
I apologise if this offends anyone. :(

I've voted over 30 times today but the hawks are still nearly 1500 votes up !!

I really don't want to let them win this, its become a bit of a Big Footy thing now ( they have a thread over on the Hawks board and their taking it really seriously), lets do our Navy Blues proud !!

keep voting !!!!!!!!!!!

People, who cares?

Let the low lives have their stupid match. They have very little else to be happy about.

I mean, for a team that won a grand final you'd think they'd be a shoe in to make it to the following years finals..... but they couldn't even manage that.

We are only a couple of hundred votes up now and both sides have votes pouring in.
Everyone needs to keep voting right to the last minute !!

You know what? I hope Foxtel screws both games over and puts on the Adelaide Vs Richmond b/s match.

Teach everyone a lesson.

I gotta say, the whole thing is funny as all hell. :p

We're obviously all missing the football.

Maybe one day, Fox will be replaying "The 2009 Hawthorn v Carlton Online Poll Thriller" for the benefit of those who weren't able to witness it first hand.

They will wonder how their polls have gone from 1,000 clicks to 80,000 :D

And we now interrupt your Chooseday Night game with the Round 11, 1989 classic from Princes Park.

A spirited contest between North Melbourne Kangaroos and the Fitzroy Lions.

Fitzroy: 0.4.4 - 0.4.4 - 1.6.12 - 1.8.14
North Melb: 0.6.6 - 1.10.16 - 4.12.36 - 6.13.49

And viewers, please note, you can blame, we mean thank, all of the Carlton and Hawthorn fans for bringing this special feature presentation to you. In their sorry attempt to rig an internet poll to watch a game of footy, we bring to you the greatest game ever. The first half will be replayed for those of you that enjoy watching grass grow.

For those of you with IQ and IQ2 set top boxes you can press the green button to enjoy this electrifying match in amazing slow motion. You don't want to miss a frame!

That, actually, sounds like an interesting game. How could they both be so hopeless?
I miss Fitzroy.

It was one of the wettest, coldest, most abysmal days in the history of Melbourne.

Apparently while it was as wet and as cold as it was, it was blowing a gale from the Elliott stand to the other wing - so much so that if you tried kicking it straight it went more sideways than length wise

I lol'd at this one :)

Mind you, I reckon they'll be trying to work out ways to cause this more often. Considering that websites promote their popularity by quoting "unique visits" and all the cookie clearing is generating verifiable unique clicks, their numbers for this week are going to look amazing!

Keep em coming 1 and all, we're 2000 votes up but will need a strong final qtr (day) to win this match !!!

(Ive seen 5000 vote leads get erased in a couple of hours !!)
