Hi all, I'm a lifelong member visiting Melbourne this weekend and am hanging around to watch the game v north on Sunday. Just wondering if anyone knows if there is any possible way to be able to get a visit into the change rooms? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Knowing one of the players personally would be your best bet, I know a few blokes in the AFL and mates are forever going to the games to watch them and getting access to the rooms before and after games.

Other than that, I'm not really sure. Maybe winning competitions, become a player sponsor?

First thing is you need to be patient. They way it works now is that the entry to the rooms is gated off in the underground carpark. Players friends and family are issued arm bands by the club and the dude on the gate checks them all. No arm band - do not pass go. After about 45 mins - if you are lucky - these family and friends start to file out. This is where you pleasantly approach them to ask if you could have their arm band. Most are more than willing. Then slip the arm band on and walk up to the gate.

It is a bit of a pain in the butt, however if you are patient it is worth the wait.

when i was younger i used to just waltz down through the belly of etihad until i found the back entry of the rooms, it was half fenced (netted) off, but the players would come out and sign stuff for the 20 or so supporters there
