I have always liked Henderson so I am a little disappointed that he is leaving. What could make me happy about this is what compo pick we get for him.

Anyway I do wish him all the best no matter where he ends up.

It was pretty clear he was going after being dropped for the finals despite a good game vs the Eagles.

He had strengths and weaknesses, but gave what he had for the club.

If they'd played him in the first final AND he'd done well, they wouldn't have been able to drop him to avoid the trigger. Damned if they did and damned if they didn't.

It's probably shows the club made it's mind up during the season to force Hendo into free agency.

He was dropped, we won the game by 10 goals. That would suggest we picked the right team. Keep walking.

Good riddance. The dude looks a million dollars when he has space and can run and carry but I doubt he has copped a single bruise since he had that concussion a few seasons back. Talk about playing bruise free football.

If this clears up enough salary cap room to fit a player we need (a better player in) then all the better. Rucci's report that we would get the end of 2nd round compensation for him are ridiculous. 3rd round compensation at best IMHO. No one if going to give him $500-$600K per season and for 3-4 years.

Always had high hopes for Hendo. Sad that his time at the Crows ends like this. Should never have played him as a defender. Thought high half forward was his spot.

Pretty filthy that they let a contract situation affect selection. We played an injured Luke Brown instead of a fit Henderson. This is a really average situation and, to me, shows the impact the back office has had on our selection in recent years.

Hendo was pretty good early ... then he seemed to develope a fear for contact as he progressed in his career .

In all honesty Tom Lynch really killed of Hendo. Hendo's best position was Lynch's high half forward, running up and down the ground taking marks.

Unfortunately for Hendo, Lynch was just better at it.

Henderson was ok. He was never particularly good.

Even in the West Coast game he only got 4 coaches votes. He was omitted when Rory Sloane and Brodie Smith came back into the team.

The contract situation *may* have had some kind of impact on selection, but it's still a leap to assume that's why he didn't play more. Don't forget that he also missed two games after Round 18 due to an achilles problem.
