Like I said, a second round pick is more than a fair trade.

A first rounder is just overs. He is not worth a first round draft choice.

If our recruiting staff are imbeciles, then they will trade Shaw and pick 27 for Henderson.

I think Shaw will fetch better than that on his own.

Think there is a fair amount of over rating of Hendo and Shaw in this thread. Mid 20s sounds about right for Hendo whom has played 6 good games in 5 years, I'd love us to get more but being realistic a second rounder is as far as he would get.

I do wonder what Dougy and Hendo would get but it seems like we aren't so keen to trade into the early rounds of the draft.

As for Shaw, why people would think a 28 year old ( he turns 28 in a month) who fights with his captain, costs his team finals and has a shocking temper is worth a first rounder is beyond me. I can't think there are teams on the cusp of playing for a top 4 spot thinking they are one loose cannon, ill disciplined defender away from a flag...because it is those teams that''ll cough up a first round pick

Assuming 'Dougy' is Richard Douglas, I'd be very keen offloading pick 10 or 11 for Douglas + Henderson. That pick would still probably get you the 2nd part of your Crouch pair

Our FA/ trade strategy is at a minimum to deliver Betts, Polec and to get us back into the earlier rounds in the draft

We have landed Betts and Hendo to Collingwood will either help us land Polec or elevate us into the draft

However with that said I'm confident that we will end up with a little more than Betts, Polec and an earlier entry into the draft, this is likely to be our biggest trading period in our clubs history

Heard Hendo is also scheduled to meet with Hawthorn. Hopefully there will be a bit of interest from multiple Vic teams and Hendo doesn't nominate a preference.

If you can find other ways to satisfy Brisbane in a trade for Polec, by all means explore them.

I just don't think Henderson is worth more than a second round draft choice.

It's akin to Collingwood seeking more than a second rounder for say Goldsack.
