I'll start it for you:

Dear Triggy,

Why aren't you releasing personal information about Hendo's family to the media?

Thanks
Russo

I hope you do realise that I in no way am saying that we should always know whats going on in players live's, or why are players being so soft etc. Thats their own business and should not be discussed. If Henderson desperately needs top go home then I accept that and it would be a sad sight to see him go.

But I just feel like over the years that whenever one of our players has an issue/problem to deal with, we pretty much consign to loosing them straight away. Even when we do try to keep a player at the club we do it illegally :P Like I said in the above post that was probably unnecessarily long, it just feels as if we arent even trying to fight this battle and ive had this feeling multiple times with our club in terms of both attracting and keeping players and there always seems to be so much uncertainty hanging over a number of our players heads. Yet other clubs seem to be able to manage their players better and keep the group together.

Even 2 premierships couldn't keep Buddy at the Hawks. Bottom line is no-one can make another person do anything. All the side arguments about what "good clubs do" and signing early or whatever we are supposed to do is just a side show to the main issues at play.

How about recruit loyal types to begin with. Admittedly we whittle the talent pool right down.

losing players comes with being an AFL club. Replacing them is the art.

I understand what you're getting at but Buddy and Hawks is a completely different kettle of fish.

Buddy has had 9 long and very successful years at hawks. Hes been nurtured and developed by the club and repaid them with some of the finest moments we will see from an afl forward. He's won two cups and put his name down next to dunstall among one of the best forwards to ever play for that club. Now hes taking the next step in his career and looking more at the money side of his career rather than the memories. Also, how many key players have you seen walk out of hawthorn, as well as the amount of quality players that have walked into that club. Their recruiting and player retention has been of the highest standards over the recent years and every club should be looking to emulate them.

Crows are a long, long way off of being successful in this area of managing a football club. I dont think we realise how lucky we are that both Sloane and Dangerfield are some of the most down to earth and best blokes that have played for us.

Nah, now you are talking shit. How long were Macca, Roo et al at the club. We just haven't rebuilt the dynasty in players yet.

You can't argue different "kettle of fish" because when these arguments are used on a case by case basis with Crows players it is dismissed as "players still left regardless" and we get the "what good clubs do" lecture. Can't have it both ways.

Im not talking shit, im just pointing out the gaping differences between what hawthorn and crows have been able to achieve player management wise.

How do you expect to rebuild the dynasty when players like Davis, Gunston, Tippett, Hendo etc continue to leave and we replace them with the likes of Tambling, Graham, LJ (not a hit on him, just the fact that hes extremely unproven and has a long way to go), and more draft picks that involve years of hard work on youngsters.

That's not really what has happened though. Tippett is a huge net loss, but that's our own fault - we could have traded him for something worthwhile. We just didn't.

Losing Davis and Gunston (plus one first round pick) has seen us net Crouch, Brown, Kerridge, Jenkins and Grigg. Overall that's a pretty good result.

The loss of players outside the best 22 in Maric and Armstrong saw us bringing in Lynch and Johnston - at least one of which is likely to end up in the best 22.

I agree that Bock for Tambling hurts, but fortunately Talia has been a more than adequate replacement.

It sucks to lose players, but that hasn't been the reason we weren't premiership contenders this year. We've actually handled that side of things pretty well. It has been the stagnation in our mid-career players that has hurt us the most.

So apparently according to AA Hendo had a meeting with Collingwood today. Got to love it when our club comes out and says, no Hendo loves it here and we wont be trading him. And then they pimp him out. But thats just how the AFC rolls.

You are the king of misinformation. Posting half truths to score points with "the everything is wrong with the AFC crowd"

Hendo will leave if he wants to leave. You can't say they're pimping out a guy who willingly agrees to leave.

Rubbish. Is that the best you can come up with? Seriously? Thats all you had yet you still posted anyway?
So please tell me what half mistruths and misinformation I have said here?
In a number of interviews i have heard from the club they have denied Hendo wants a trade or has said hes happy to be traded, yet everyman and his dog knows he has. We have been told we are not looking to trade him and he is a required player. That is obviously not true and they are infact looking to trade him.
Everything I have said is correct. The fact that it is incovenient to you and just adds to our clubs distain for its supporters is not my issue.

Wish we weren't looking to trade him to a contender
Whilst they should be a contender, I can't say I'm a fan of the direction Collingwood are taking. They're looking to move guys who are fantastic in their position such as H.Shaw (talk about moving Harry O'Brien as well, although no idea if there's any truth to that or not) to fix the culture of the club. To me, it makes it look as if Buckley is trying to rebuild this group a little bit rather then do a few more finishing touches to make this list ready for a genuine crack.

They've got some fantastic quality in their list (especially their midfield) but I don't think they've played very good footy in a couple of years now.

If they do move Shaw then Henderson would be a fantastic replacement for a similar position role (if he can backup what he showed for us in the second half of the season).

Hendo for Heath Shaw, straight swap
If only, think it would be a great move for us but something I question whether we'd even try to do.

Anyone want to do me a favour on behalf of this board and flick Sando/harper/noble/chapman or whoever and email and ask WHY THE **** are we shopping this bloke around?!?:p

Yes i know, he supposedly has family issues with his brother and his mum is struggling according to all reports. But if henderson has come out and said that he is willing to stay unless a good deal for the club can be found, then surely his personal issues are that bad....yet. Im in no way trying to speak on henderson's behalf and obviously no one has any idea on how much he really is struggling, but why are we not trying to work things out with him sort of like what Port did with Boak, istead of throwing him straight to the wolves???

I may be overreacting a little here;) but im sure any crows supporter is just as sick as I am of watching talented/promising players leave the club for whatever reason. I will admit that Henderson has become a favourite of mine and has gone from 0 to hero (well maybe not that far, but semi-hero :p ) throughout the course of his career. As a supporter ive watched him come out of nowhere from an extremely raw basketball recruit to someone who IMO looks like becoming a serious talent for this club, and i would absolutely HAAAATE for him to leave now, right as he appears to be peaking. I remember my friends showing me this crows magazine once where all the players down at the club tipped Henderson to be the next big thing for AFC, so obviously he has some talent.

I think what seems to be pissing me off the most about this whole situation is that every corner I turn im reading reports of crows shopping Henderson around, but yet im reading 0 ****ing stories of the club trying to work with both him and his family to solve the issue/s at hand. If hes so highly rated by many at the club, then why are we willing to let him go without even blinking an eyelid?!?

I swear to god if Crows have their minds set on trading back into the 2nd round and they are using Henderson's "issues" as a sort get out of jail card so that it appears to fans that we get a win-win out of this situation I will not be happy. If we were to lose Henderson due to Trigg being an incompetent ****wit then I will be ****ing ropable with the club.

An elusive 2nd round pick is not what the club needs right now. Given the considerably young average age of our list already, the last thing we need is another "promising" youngster that we consistently throw in and out of the side based on god knows what selection policies. Any man and his dog can see that we have an up and coming list and are with the right age balance, and trading out a 25 year old who seems to finally have found his home and performing his role damn well is not going to help our chances at all.

Dont get me wrong, if Henderson does in fact seriously want to return home then by all means we should aim for a high 2nd round pick and run based on previous events that have occurred. However something just doesnt sit right with this whole situation to me for some reason, something smells fishy. From what ive read it comes across to me that the crows could be trying to capatilise on his go home factor. I could be wrong and I hope I am, but thats my view atm and I cant seem to comprehend why the club would want to do such a thing which is obviously frustrating me. I would very much at least like to see the club try to work work with him and actually retain one of our more exciting players for once.

Ohh and for all of you saying that Hendo's role is easy and could be replaced without any trouble, please give me a list of players that quick, agile, tall, a great field kick, an accurate and long kick for goal and good at reading the contest. Im all out of ideas but apparently these players grow on trees... Henderson is a very rare breed of player, having a player with his athletic ability and height, combined with his footskills is something we should treasure, not throw away at the first chance we get. Some are shipping off Henderson to other clubs already while at the same time calling for Smith to move to the midfield in 2014... so tell me, who is going to give us that run and drive down back like we witnessed with Henderson???? Sorry to sound harsh but Brent Reilly is simply not the answer, plain and simple, cannot stand anymore of that bloke in AFC colours. CEY is nowhere near ready yet and will never have the footskills that Hendo does, the only thing he can draw level with is build and athletic ability. People on here are quick right him off with excuses that hes inconsistent and plays a easy role, but there is literally no one else that can perform his role and be anyhwere near as damaging that Henderson can be out of the backline.

So yes, sorry for the massive rant. Obviously I do not know the extent of Henderson's personal situation, but I just cannot believe both the clubs and some supporters stance on this situation. How about trying to retain our players just for once!! Espcially as players with Hendo's athleticism and skillset are about as rare as they come.

But yeah lets trade at the first opportunity that presents itself him and be forced to bring back good ol' Brent Reillyo_O

I actually emailed Trigg a while ago with a question and he NEVER replied back

If Hendo's family matters are serious then im happy for the club to explore all the options privately

For those who don't know Ricky he is a very genuine bloke, he is a extremely private bloke, does love the club however has family matters which in an ideal world he feels that he should be closer to home base

With this in mind he understands the lay of the land, understands that he is contracted and what the club has done for him so if the crows can get appropriate compensation he will put family before club and leave the club that he loves to support him Mum

I can understand that

Your theory on Giles from last year keeps popping up.

Now you say we are pimping him out, when there is a reasonable chance he has family issues he'd like to be in Vic to help out with. It is also been said that he's happy to stay if a good deal for the club can't be found. What you posted is riddled with holes in order to score cheap points.

It's your MO when posting.

That's unusual - the Crows staff are all pretty good at replying to emails, even if it's only a boiler plate response due to an overwhelming number of people asking essentially the same question(s).

I dont go around saying I have inside contacts, cos i really dont. But when i say i know something, then i do. For starters, one of my companies customers in Vic is a close relative of Otto. I knew from him that Otto loved the Crows and didnt want to go back to vic. Others were posting that he wanted out, I posted I was told he didnt and would stay. He stayed.
Same with Giles. My company is a sponser of Centrals and through club functions we mix with their players/officials. I was talking to a player/official who is really close friends with Giles and was hanging out with him when he came back to Adelaide before and during trade period. I got told what was happening (Giles wanted back to SA, hated PAP and wanted to join the Crows.) I also got told when it fell down what happened from Giles end.
Now if you choose not to believe it thats your issue. But it happened and that was a bad decision that hurt us this year on field. The fact that this seems to be common practise (our trading department at the club is very poor) is something that needs to change. But I guess your happy we traded in Angus instead of Giles?

What would u guys want for Hendo? Realistically I think we'd only offer up pick 27
