While I'm very happy with our 7-5 start.....I find selection directions puzzling.

Has Trentschell shown he has regained form with The Budgies to the level demanded of other players on the periphery ????

Was Jericho's game that much worse than Welsh's ????

Why would Bode be named as an emegency ?????....that should be reserved for players with a future IMO.....ie Knights.

Jezza hasnt been named in Westies firsts. Could be injured.
But agree it's puzzling to fathom their reasons MD. :(

Exactly right. Huddo said it was his fault.
May have been Huddo's bad handpass but it did appear that Edwards looked up a little bit too soon and had spent it before he had it. Crap happens. It was one of those 'Ohhhhhhh ..... bugger it moments in life'. Wasn't meaning to blame him just that I still can't believe we lost the game.

this a fantastic decision, jericho aint a kid anymore, hes a young man and it sends a message to him as well as some others that his attack on the footy and some poor decision making at critical times is not acceptable for us. If he was a kid it might shatter his confidence a bit, but its up to him now to step up at sanfl level and when (if) he gets his next chance maybe decide not to do a little half circle and hatch the footy at a critical stage of the game.

top effort jackie

Well ******** me sidways, Jack is actually making a good point  ;)

I just wonder why we can't send that same message to some other more senior players.

Hentschel is a logical replacement and if he attack the contest as well as he did when he went back to the Eagles, then it would be sensational and he would have learned the lesson.

On Watts, I am sure he understands he is behind Hentschel in the pecking order and still needs to work on some key aspects of his game. Kicking from a set shot is one of them. If he continued to play on all the time in the AFL he would get cleaned up. When he takes a mark 30 meters directly in front then go back and kick a goal. Not play on and kick it on the run. His set shots this year are attrotious.

Watts has time on his side.

Bock has been very good in the SANFL this year, he has really stepped up. Watts has also been good, and didn't play too badly when we thrashed the Eags, Knights was probably the Eagles best on the day which was his debut.

TOMORROW - no AFL footy on free to air during the day, but Eagles and Sturt on ABC. I will be watching it because we play Sturt next week, and it should be a good game. But all of you lot should watch it too, so you can see how well the Crows are really going instead of making up opinions without actually knowing the truth.

Hentschel looked a class above when he played for the Eagles after getting dropped, i have a feeling he will fire up against Richmong - let's hope so. Good decision to drop Jericho... but i think Matty Bode should be in the side which most of you will disagree with. Play him solely as a crumbing forward, he is very good at kicking goals and is a tough bastard when it comes to his attack on the ball. He has been in sensational form for the Bays, and kicked a couple of great snaps last week, including one labelled 'goal of the season' by some biased Bay men!

I think your being a bit tough on Jericho. I thought that he'd been presenting pretty well and deserved another crack.

If the old adage of being accountable for your player after a turnover was true then Welsh should be the one out the door. Let alone the fact he got all of 3 possessions last week. Good last game at the Dome or not he should be gone.....and I'm a Welsh fan.

.....Great comment that!!!! 8 goals later.... :D

Well at least he showed why I think so highly of him. The bloke can kick goals. But when will he kick the 50+ a year that he's capable of!!!
