It's more about consistency though. Bartel is fantastic in pretty much everything he does, he is the ultimate SC player. He should consistently get high scores, and this also gives me an option to be sure that my (new) captain will do well.

Yeah I know where your coing from. If it was purely because you wanted a strng captain and didn't have other options then could be a good move. But if you wanted them in your team, but not as captain I still believe the money could be used to make 2 strong upgrades, rather than using all the cash on the one upgrade.

Pro's and Con's for both, but every team has different needs and alot of factors come into play I guess.

Having a captain that scores big numbers makes Bartel and Judd so worth it. I would say on average Judd is my captain 1 in every 3 games. That 100K earns me an extra 10 points a week plus 10 point when he is captain. That is being conservative.

In reality if you name him captain against Melbourne, Essendon, Carlton, and Richmond you are going to get more like 40 points extra from him.

It's Rodan to Bartel mate. Even if Bartel gets shot, stabed, and run over, i'll still be happy with the trade.

You'll have wasted a trade if Bartel does his knee tomorrow at training.

Has he been playing forward/midfield?

Also he had a poor scoring game last week against freo. Did anyone see the game? Was he tagged or just didn't get near the ball?

I can't work out his exact break even, but this will give you an idea...

If O'Keefe was to get 110 this week, he would only go up by approx $10,000.

Therefore as they are playing the bulldogs I believe there is a good chance he may not achieve this and therefore if he was to increase in price it would not be significant. (Possible he may even drop slightly)

I am therefore going to hold off on this trade, giving me another week to see where he is at. As I mentioned before Davey is a good chance to have a decent game against Richmond, so not crutial I make it this week.

The following week the O'Keefe for Davey trade would be much more appealing as their following 3 games would be:

O'Keefe - Essendon, Hawks, Collingwood
Davey - Swans, Eagles, Port

Just my thoughts if it helps in any way

Well all rucks are weak this year. Not 1 decent, consistent one this year.
Lade- Up n Down. Cox- Missing. Sandy- Good for a 70 max. Charman- Just shocking SCer.

Only 1 i can think of that regularly scores well is Ryder.

Trades left: 4 , Risk factor: High (willing to have 2 for remainder of season, bench is good, well sort of), Money: $337K, Issues: Worrying about the LAST starter and EMERGENCIES, want judd, kennelly or Jon Brown. Judd is important as I want him to be captain. I want Jon Brown to put fear in my opposition team (hehehe). And Kennelly cause he is a gun backman. Ignore the dud players below.

backs - raines (boyle, dud mcmahon)
centres - lappin (priddis, pettard)
rucks - darcy (griffin, dud)
forward - davey (dud n.ablett, dud schultz)

Now option A: Get Judd for Priddis, Kennelly for raines (or get McPhee), leave 2 trades. Pros: Getting Judd, Cons: Having dud emergencies.

New Team with Option A:
backs - Kennelly (boyle, dud mcmahon)

I agree, if u got mondy, get bartel/cross for rodan....rodan's price (as most have stated is at its peak).....but I think boyle/clarke isn't really a starter, get rid of clarke for kennelly, mcphee, cornes (and use boyle as emergency or vice-versa) or get brown/lucas for hawkins (at the right price)..and use davey as emergency.. an injury to your backs or forward will drop score..EXCELLENT TEAM BTW...MUCH BETTER THAN MINE

Hi guy's after a bit of advice. This is my first year in SC & only entered to compete in a private league (currently 5th 3 wins 2 losses & only avg. 1860pts)
Our league leader is 5 wins & avg. 1998pts. so need to find a little bit more if I am going to be competative.
