I'm in a similar situation to the above. So many permutations and combinations, I don't want to bore you all.

Here's my side: http://heraldsun9.virtualsports.com.au/?p=other_teams&tid=39502&lid=1

Thinking that Adam Goodes is looking the goods. Only have 11 trades left though, is he worth using two more to get?

To do that I'd probably have to downgrade a forward line cash cow.
Options: Alwyn Davey, Aaron Edwards, Nathan Ablett.
Or even Lance Franklin. He is going to plummet - is it worth holding onto him in the aim to eventually being a seventh forward (whereby the price drop doesn't mean anything) or selling now?

For one of the above, I'd have to take either Jack Riewoldt, or Luke Jericho (any other possibilities?). I could possibly take Mitch Clark if I downgraded Franklin, but that would leave me with four cash cows.

To get Goodes I would upgrade Joel Selwood or Shaun Higgins. Maybe Selwood is the way to go, I think he may get a spell in the VFL soon.

Any thoughts and/or alternatives would be great.
I don't think Goodes is worth using 2 trades on. His current price lends perfectly to a direct swap, ie. for Kade Simpson in your case. I'm kicking myself I didn't do it for Marc Murphy last week.

If you're looking to cash up, Armitage for Selwood looks like a good trade this week. I don't see Armitage getting dropped any time soon given our injury problems and Selwood seems to be at his fair/top price. I sold out for Houli last week and am happy with the decision, except I would've rathered Armitage in hindsight because I think Houli will get the chop this week due to poor decision making and execution against Richmond.

I wouldn't be cashing up in the forwards this week as there isn't anybody good coming through. Jack Riewoldt needs to show a bit more. Your other option is Boyle for McMahon or Frawley, but I also have question marks about that one.

Top team mate. Where you ranked? How many trades left?

Cheers mate.

After I posted that I cooled off a bit on the Goodes idea. A straight swap might be the go though.

But I think my major concern is my forward line. Carrying three cash cows is no good, any ideas there?

Thanks.

Too far back after a few bad calls at the start like Burton...still in mid 1000's..had no choice but to spend and hope.

Stuck with this team + 1 more fwd and ruck...will have only 7 left next week so i'm probably gone already.

Need luck with injuries but will try for top 200 as a consolation prize.

Franklin needs to go. I know you probably wont want to get rid of Rodan being a port supporter and all, but he's got a lot of value that you could spend on upgrading Franklin to a another top forward.

Need to keep Rodan in depth in centres, always great chance to get 80+ as an emergency, seems to go alright in SC

Franklin will still have some huge games this year, personally I think need to upgrade Toovey and get some bench depth in backs wih maybe Kosi or Smith on the bench

Thoughts on Alwyn Davey/Robert Murphy for Luke Jericho then Buddy Franklin for Ablett Jnr? Worthy upgrades?
:thumbsu: :thumbsu:
Only wish I could do the same but with only 6 trades left I can't afford to use the trades especially with 6 injured , suspended or non playing players already on my bench. So I will have to stick with Franklin & Davey.:(

Only trade I'm considering is Bock for Bizzell, just a little concerened about injury and Biz keeping his spot in the team.

Usually if I am unsure I don't pull the trigger, either way Bock is as good as gone from my team, just a waste to have 320K sitting on the pine.

Sandilands' I always consider trading, I'd like to get rid of him also but might wait until Simmonds comes back from injury.

The Biz could be another Brennan I reckon.

Who to keep, who to upgrade?
In order, I would get rid of:

N. Ablett - 1st (Inconsistent)
Davey - 2nd (Value has peaked and may go backwards)
Edwards - 3rd (Pretty reliable to have on the park, averaging nearly 80, will go up further in value by end of year)

Cheers, was thinking the same.

Does everyone think that Goodes is probably the bargain of the round? Any forwards who are just as good value this week?

Lucas is cheap this week. So is Brown, although he may drop further this week if he doesn't score massively against the Tigers. If you don't take one of those this week, ROK may be cheaper again next week.

Goddes is good value but who will you be trading him for?

Riewoldt (even though he has risen since bottoming out) and Brad Johnson are both cracking value that I'm considering. Pav and ROK are must haves at their current price (I already have both).

Wait another week for Brown. Don't rate Lucas - too inconsistent. Barry Hall is also cheap, but he'd need to show me more before I got him.

I don't know what to do.

My forward line needs some serious work, but I Goodes is very tempting, I could go Kade Simpson for Goodes.

Not sure what to do.
