no please do... please point out what I am missing...

lets consider the things that deduct points...
clanger kicks -8... handball clangers -6... free kick against -6 now lets think about our game plan and Jamisons position...

Full back with considerable umpiring secrutiny on chopping arms and hands in the back... hmm frees against dont look too good... hand ball and kick clangers again out over disposal last night (which appears to be our game plan) will serverly cost us when we stuff it up (as we did plenty of times last night) Additionally an ineffective handball gains you 0 points, so too does an ineffective kick.

Therefore I implore you to enlighten the majority of us on why you would even consider Jamison for a spot in your Supercoach side... let not even bother to mention his $391,600 price tag...

I mean by all means good luck to you with your choice there, clearly you have chosen a nice bias team which will not get you very far in terms of winning anything... I will take my Albert Proud at $101,900... the fact he gathered 29 disposals and was 2nd best on for the Lions in the match against the Kangaroos is enough deterant for you not to choose him I suspect... :rolleyes:

Gee he is very highly priced isn't he? For very good reasons perhaps but you are right. His last game last year where he managed around 120 odd points must've spiked his price up. That said he'll hold that price (he hit 100 points again against the Hawks) but others will go up in value much quicker so you'd probably pick them. But if you're writing Jamison off because of bad disposal or on field position then your doing him a big injustice.

hot tip for you since your a novice...

1. take a good look at the scoring system as it will give clues on who is generally good.
2. When picking the under $120K players it is generally a wild stab... work on NAB cup form and try and pick a player who you think will go up in value as this player will be handy for you to sell off later in the season to pick up someone more expensive.
EG: last year a HUGE mover was Joel Selwood... was a $94k player and from memory I sold him off at about $350k (approx) by about round 10.
3. Note that you can continue to swap players until the first lock out which will happen just before the Carlton Richmond round 1 game... after that you have 20 (i think) trades for the rest of the year... you want to keep one or two spare for injuries come the late rounds.
4. refer to my reasoning above with my banter with Gandaal for a little tip on backmen..
5. I find that midfielders and forwards will score you 80% of your points... the only backmen that will score points are either lose unaccountable backmen (joel Bowden, except he is pricey) OR backmen who have a double listing as a forward...

kosi and hall...

Hall seems to have benefitted from his surgeries which he imposed on himself after a terrible 2007... he kicked 4 goals the other day for the swans in the NAB challenge game...

Kosi will benefit from being in the forward line more due to the coming on of Gardiner and recruiting of King... It will mean he will spend less time in the Ruck... potentially do less running which means lesser chances of twanging a hammy (which he is prone) and he is a strong mark and kick for goal. These two will score more than the other two...

Dids will suffer from lack of supply and eventually they will throw him back into the midfield... he will score highly, he generally does but there are better and less pricer midfielders than him.

Aker is Aker... too hot and cold since being at the dogs... if he is cheap he might be worth it... cheap being between $200k and $300k... anything over $300k and your better off with something else!

Good question, I'd go for Kosi & Hall though. Not a bad effort by Hall on the weekend, may be just one match but he may be a good punt, and for some reason I think Kosi will have a good year.

As for the other two, seeing as Deledio may be used more in the forward line, and I dont see any reason to think Aker will do better than last, first 2 for me definately.

How's everybody going with their trades?
I've made 4 already which is probably too many for this early on, but hey its already done so I will see how i go from here.
