Same draft as Petracca and De Goey. Petracca moved midfield in 2020 and immediately took over. De Goey was mid way through 2021. So a bit of a delay in getting him in there but making up for lost time.

Heeney is a better forward than the others so you can understand the reasoning for keeping him there. Won an All Australian selection in 2022. Having much more influence in the middle this year and another All Australian will probably be the least of this seasons accolades.

His career is sort of playing out how Ablett Junior's would have if he stayed a forward until 2010/2011ish. And when he was a kid he did remind me a bit of younger Gaz.

The umpires will mysteriously overlook his games after he was reported and fail to give him a single vote. To make it seem less like the AFL robbed him and handing it to the chosen one Naicos.

Very true. He left Mills in defence way too long as well when a lot of Swans fans were screaming for him to be moved to the midfield.

IF.....if he does win a Norm Smith....thats a very prestigious award as well. So is the Gary Ayres Award (Player of Finals)....if he were to win that as well.

I agree. I'm starting to believe the Brownlow has lost a lot of its prestige in the last few years. There probably is a case to be made that Dusty is the goat.
