Priddis got 10 tackles for Eagles in half a game, still reckon we should have grabbed him when we had the chance, and the kid was a Docker supporter from day one.
 
you had quite a few blokes who spent most of their time mouthing off, rather than getting into the contest for the ball. crowley came off the ground at one point and started sledging the essendon bench players!! i kid you not, i was sitting 3 metres away. interesting priority, ryan. the carr brothers wanted to target winderlich behind the play, but showed little interest in actually stopping him with the ball.

you guys have all the talent you need. now you just need to adjust your mentality. take your usual 'west-coast clash' endevour to the rest of the season and you can win the flag.

That sums it up perfectly. If Paz and Tazza can combine so well against Fletcher and Michael. Probably two of the best tall backs in the league. I can't wait for them to dominate against weaker backlines.

Once we get Johnson and Black back in the side i think we'll look hot to trot. If we lose the first 4 games, i still think we'll finish top 4. You can't help but be enthuised by our forwards dominance. Both weeks we've scored over 100 and still lost. 90% of the time thats a winning score.

Its not the midfield. We won our fair share of clearances. Its quite clearly the backline. Which isn't surprising when your missing a starting back 3 which includes Johnson, Black and Dodd. Dodd is a great stopper and Johnson and Black are the reason we are deadly on the rebound.

Not to mention our 'depth' in the backline is being sorely missed. I can't help but think our shaky defence would have been solidified by Haddrill and Thornton. At the moment their is little competition for a spot down back.

No point blaming Gilmore's game in the ruck. Nor Walker or Duffield's poor disposal. These players will likely be replaced by seasons end by the better players who are currently coming back from injuries or are suspended.

Wait a few weeks before passing judgement.

Alywn Davey on the other hand is quick as anyone and tackles like a mofo.

Who would we drop for Priddis.

Don't forget we have Black, Johnson, Schammer, Farmer, Longmuir, Drum, Cook still sitting around.

Add in Dunn, Campbell, Ibbotson, Warnock, Thornton, Haddrill and even Collard.

No chance Priddis would get a game with us. Only reason hes playing for the Eagles is because of there injuries.

So dry your tears.

Just how good do you think your midfield is?

He is the current Sandover Medalist and can crack a game in the best midfield in the comp, but he wouldn't get a game at Freo?:confused:

Hang on, you are probably right, you are in "premiership mode", much better to play someone older.;)

Bell, Hasleby, J.Carr, Black, Browne, Crowley, Peake, Headland, Dodd, Schammer, M.Carr, Cook, McManus

Can also play Pavlich, Solomon, Gilmore, Dunn, Ibbotson and maybe, Johnson, Drum and Mundy.

Where would find space for Priddis. Gilmore is a similar player to Priddis. Not much in it between them, aside from some nerves in Gilmore's game on the weekend. He's getting a game in your midfield, because of injuries and people being addicted to drugs.

1) Gilmore is about 15 down the list there. (Just in case you thought I was deluded for thinking Priddis wouldn't get a game).
2) Gilmore was a top ten finisher in the 2005 Sandover, despite being an interstate emergency on a number of occasions, unlike Priddis.
3) The stats are in favour of Gilmore.

4) He had a few bad kicks that people are trying to crucify him for. Schammer had some bad ones last year, but anyone with a clue still backed him. Give the guy more than one game ffs. He was winning a lot of the ball and he still did some good things. In particular, his rucking effort in the last quarter where he won the tap, then the ball and the inside50m.

5) Priddis just wouldn't get a game.
 
I'd like to see stats on effective kicks.

Thats my main issue with his game. He is a poor mans headland.

Id love to see that stat as well.

Headland is very over rated at Fremantle. Has shown no form since arriving. I have said it before and will say it again, he is not worth the money we pay him.

That's why he wears 11, they look like a pair of ski's and when you guys get in front he is the best downhill skier in the game, but fall behind and the games on the line, #11 is no where to be seen!

I dont' think anyone rates Headland at Freo at the moment. We all just have to hope hes not on a huge contract.

Out of contract at the end of the year though.

Incredible that he is now into his 5th season at the club, certainly doesn't seem that long.

Over rated? Who rates him? Hard to be overrated when you're rated by most as a complete pansy.
