No the one that will be on our clash guernsey. Go on the Essendon website and facebook page. I think we also used it in 1996 as a centenary logo. Not sure though

Want the one on the Windy Hill gates:

And since we're leaving Windy Hill, there should be something to comemmorate that heritage. Replace the flags with Bombers flying up (maybe the 80s/90s one and the 00s one). Or something.

It is broke. It's dull, it's dated, it's got little to nothing to do with our history... we've got a history of ordinary logos though. The concorde one of the 80s and 90s is pretty miserable, let's be honest.
I agree, I just dont like changing for the sake of it, but you maybe onto something, when we move from Windy Hill might be the time, new place, new logo new era

I don't know how to upload pics, but this has the logos that have been associated with Essendon at some stage.

I don't know what the one before our current one is, but taking that away, our current one seems to be the second worst, only in front of the horrible toy plane in the 80s. Our current logo is pretty good, but I feel like we could have a more professional logo, like the heritage logo or the one on the Windy Hills gate. We could keep the current one as a second logo for kids merchandise. Looking at some of those logos in there, we don't need to make one up. Just tweak one of the older ones and it should be good.

I think it is time to change logos and not to another cartoon plane. Rather, to a professional logo that can be recognized as Essendon and I think that monograms do the job.

Time for a new logo. Should not feature a plane. There’s no way to make it look good.

It’s just a nickname, everyone knows we’re the Bombers. We don’t need it on our logo.

In any case rebranding is expensive. Not sure they’ll go for it when we’re trying to pay for the facilities, though it is a good time.

No.

No.

No.

I like it as a HERITAGE logo - but never a modern one.

It doesn't look good at all. It looks severely disproportional and unnecessarily long. Something you would expect most designs during that era to be. Bad.

I'm all for changing our current logo, but if we're going to change it, it has to be something good. Something classy, but MODERN. Part of the reason why our current logo looks shit is because it doesn't look modern - it tries to be, but it's not. It looks like a 90's video game cover.

It also lacks timeless class, as well. With subtle homages to our history.

And I definitely want it to look classy. A club's logo should be taken a lot more seriously - it's something SO many clubs in the world identify with, it's something that represents what they all want to follow.

It needs to look good enough to show off.

I've never been able to do that in my time of supporting the Bombers.

It doesn't look all that great, but no history? We won a flag under the current logo. As far as I'm concerned, it has it's history. A much cherished one at that.

I still prefer it to this "heritage" logo. At least with the plane, the little kids think it's "cool" = more supporters to grow up.

Problem is, a lot of these supporters, like me, grow up... and it no longer continues to be something you want to look at.

It doesn't mean we shouldn't ever include a Bomber in the logo though, I'm sure it's possible to create one that not only looks modern and timeless, but also something that'll catch a young supporter's eye.

Just as the Pies, Blues, Tigers, Hawks, Cats make note of their nickname, we should too. It's a big marketing tool and our identity as the "Bombers" even stretches as far as our club song. You don't hear the words "Essendon" in it at all. I want both aspects of our identity to be treated with the same respect.

Touchy subject and not everyone will be pleased.

FWIW, I like "the gate" design, but I want a logo - not a monogram. Monograms have never appealed to me... plus it looks like something straight out of the EPL. And I hate everything about the dull, depressing EPL.
