I just want to know how he could have "the case in the hands of defamation lawyers" before his name actually came out in the public domain. Did he know he was the subject in question? Then why did he know?

Is it because all of the other rumours and what Ben Oxenbould said are true? It doesn't look good for someone to go right on the back foot before a ball has even been bowled. He just is making himself look more and more guilty.

Drawing a bit of a long bow there Stinger! If us idiots could deduce who they were talking about, then I'm sure he could and would prepare accordingly.

In unrelated musings, I wonder how Betty would pronounce pedophile.

I suppose some of these episode names take on a new meaning now...

I'm enjoying the ACA promos for this..

Todays ends with ACA..the investigation continues.

Someone needs to tell ACA they aren't ASIO:p

Well they did find Hughes in only a week.

I say get the ACA investigators onto the search for BinLaden, they'll probably have their foot in his cave opening within a month.

Now we just need the sensationalist story to frame him for to get them interested. Does Bin Laden have any history with Channel 7 or TT?

They're are gutter journalists dude they love this sort of stuff.:thumbsd:

As long as the ratings are high they will draw it out as long as they can, they both suck.:thumbsd:
Exactly, they will milk the whole sad situation for what it's worth.

And simply for ratings, not for any "investigative", moral or other upstanding reason.

It's tabloid television at its very worst.

Today Tonight is only rehasing all the interviews and footage from 9. It is amazing they can basically replay the whole story and get away with it.

ACA actually beat Today Tonight amazingly.........it won't last though.

I like how Grimshaw came on at the end and was banging on about all the people that had come forward with information and how they have now passed all the relevant info onto the proper authorities to allow them to investigate.

In conclusion, we have got our weeks worth of ratings out of this story and so now we will hand over the case to some people who can actually do something constructive with the information.

Kudos ACA, kudos.

As for Sarah Monahan saying that she heard about all the fuss her story had caused and how a police investigation would be starting and she jumped on the first plane she could back to Australia to tell the police her story....but first an interview with Grimshaw and Simone Buchanan.

Promo: Coming to the Nine Network, Robert Hughes in his comeback role - Caught in the Covers: The Steve Randell Story.

hey dad is the worst thing to come out of victoria since australian rules football

a gross misrepresentation of what life is like in australia

Umm yeah... considering it was entirely developed, produced & made in Sydney... :thumbsu:

Nudge used to frequently wear the rugby jersey of my old high school, which was nearby the old ch7 Sydney studios. I vaguely recall the external shots were of a house in Chatswood, I think.

Dead right, yes.

It's hard to believe looking back now that shows like 'Hey Dad' , 'Full House' , 'Perfect Strangers' , 'The Golden Girls' , 'Family Matters' & 'Step By Step' used to dominate primetime viewing in the late 80s/early 90s not only in this country but all around the world. I suppose most of them were good shows in their own right, but yeah, still pretty odd on reflection. I guess nobody knew any different to complain or think otherwise back in those days, although you could make an argument as well that the quality of television in general hasn't improved that much...

Did anyone else lol when Ben Oxenbould said "This has caused me to lose faith in humanity"?

Big lols.

Found his delivery a bit full on the be honest.

Nah, the external shots of the house were actually of a two foot model.

More like "in conclusion, we have probably irreperably damanged the chances of securing a guilty verdict in this case, but whatever, **** you all, 'cause I'm Tracy Grimshaw."

Gee, Simone Buchanan still goes alright, eh?:thumbsu:

She was always a very attractive woman. Just don't know why the e is silent in Simone

No, I certainly did not.

Do you think it's a light an easy subject he was talking about? Do you think he should have injected some humour into the interview? Maybe a few pedo jokes?

After the success of "Invictus", producers are looking at making a film based on South Africa's return to international test cricket. For the scenes set during their return test match against England they need someone to play the Australian umpire that officiated. With his receding hairline and large glasses, Hughes may be perfect for the role.

Uncanny.

Why is it always the school teachers plus priests that are child molesters and why is it that mainly the males are the ones to do it?...I very rarely hear of female child molesters.

It isn't. The vast majority of cases involve family members. But that doesn't make good "Teee Veee" and you refuse to inform yourself of what's actually going on.

People among the 'moral majority' prefer to just jump up and down, flinging dung all over the place like a deranged Howler Monkey - rather than find out the truth on your own.

Then they login to BigFooty and start chastising others for taking the piss out of other moral arbiters.

Theres quite a few though they are in an small minority.

Same situation with black serial killers. Theres the odd one here & there but they are mostly white.
