Ginni and Gunner given the all clear.

Jars with some calf soreness, will train Wednesday.

BOO YAH !!

It made sense to rest them all as well as Newk for most of the final quarter because Adelaide simply were not going to beat us.

Fantastic news. Now we just need the all clear on Impey.

Absolutely shattered for Punky but he'll heal up eventually. Must admit when I saw the injury the first thing that popped into my head was the injury that Chicago Bear Zach Miller badly dislocated his knee. He tore multiple ligaments in his knee and also tore the popliteal artery.

What this meant was that if he wasn't sent to a hospital with a vascular surgeon he would've had to have had his leg amputated to reduce the bleeding in the artery. In Miller's case he was very lucky that one of the teams medicos mentioned this and advised them to send him to a hospital that was further away but had the vascular surgeon ready to go and in turn ended up saving his leg.

Anyways we all saw the way Punky's leg bent and as devastating as it is for him as long as he heals up properly and has no underlying issues all will be well. I can't lie though that I was very worried until the update came through that it was only ACL + MCL.

It was fortunate we had enough of a lead to be able to rest these guys in the last quarter; this is why it's hard to win from eighth. Seemed to be able to come out mostly intact, always a few carrying 'niggles' at season end.

Breust has definitely got away lucky with an ACL + MCL. Could have easily ended up much worse, like a 1 year with North Melbourne.

Calsher Dear - Hamstring (1 week)

"Calsher is making progress and running at 60 per cent. He will continue to progress his speed over the week with the aim to be moving freely closer to top speed over the weekend. Being a young athlete who has not had this type of injury before, we'll be cautious, but at this stage, it is looking more like next week that he may be able to rejoin the group, providing the progressions this week go to plan."

If we can get through this week's challenge then Calsher coming in makes us a higher pressure opponent to play against.

Fingers crossed for him and the club that his injury is as assessed, the team comes out on the right side of this next game, and everyone is fit for what follows.

Half way there now.

Calsh comes back in next week.

Has to
Will depend on Friday's performance. He could only come in for Lewis I think, we won't go back to 4 talls, and gunston and chol wouldn't be dropped even if poor.

So if Lewis plays really well, we won't drop him for Dear who's struggled for fitness all year.

I'm hoping we have that exact problem to solve! Mitch kicking a bag in a dominant winning performance

Yes, assuming we win, Lewis is fighting for a GF spot.

Have we had any news on any injuries from the prelim or surgery for players that had played through?

Usually there's a few shoulder reconstructions in in the off-season.

Dear and Morrison i'd image are fine now and good for preseason day 1.

Maginness reportedly should be right too, maybe on no-contact early.

Then it's just Will Day who we will be cautious with but likely to ready round 1 pending a smooth pre-season.

I dunno if it was just me but Sicily looked like he bunged up his shoulder in the prelim. Was looking very proppy in the second half.
