hidden gems

Not racist......love/hate everybody equally......have spent years in India and knoww 1st hand of the smuggling trade.

Also bemused that when I leave India I am forced to take off a baseball cap and show what is underneath whilst those wearing turbans walk straight through without lifting a heap of cloth big enough to smuggle a gun in.

Many gems are smuggled to India from Burma which is cut off from the world and then smuggled out again

Grigg is the one who is going to explode in 09. To see him exploit his pace against the trundlers of the opposition is going to set my heart a racing. Then use his silky left foot to deliver gold plated passes onto the chest of Gibbs is going to make me errrrrrr explode.

Got a sneaky feeling about Mr Garlett too although he'll need a year or two to hit the protein shakes.

Thanks for that guys and girls:thumbsu:

And what about Hartlett does he have what it takes to be our next key forward or has injury had its toll on him?

Hartlett just doesn't present.
Sure he has had his injuries, but at best may be trade bait next year.

Certainly training reports from friday suggesting he was being out-bodied by that young AIS KPP from Darwin don't exactly inspire confidence that anything's about to change either. :o

Injuries haven't taken their toll yet, but not sure his body can withstand the constant rigours of an AFL schedule. He sure has the talent though and if injury free this season, look for him to be given a run of JR proportions.

I would never have thought he was a great body on body player, but has enough grunt to leap into a pack, and seems to skip up the ground pretty well. Considering his terrific kick, I don't think it's all bad if he's taking them 60-70m out.

Yup. Im down with Mr Browne ground. I think he'll be rated in our top ten or a dozen come the end of 09.

Only way I could like him more is if he wore a mohawk, a large quantity of gold neck chains, and told opposition players to sto jivin' him or he would introduce them to his friend Mr Pain. That'd be cool.

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know when they will update all the players profiles on the CFC site? They still have last years profiles on.

Nah, that was just a handball drill where they were standing back to back combined with youthful exuberance.:thumbsu: If I were Harts I would have found it a bit annoying :)

Don't take any notice of these reports, Hartlett's knee is still not right and he won't be doing any contact training for about 2 weeks. Don't know where they came from.

I like the look of Jeff Garlett, who was taken with our first selection in the rookie draft. Saw him at training on Friday, and the way he moves suggests he could be quite a good little player. Given our lack of forwards, you'd have to think he'd be some chance to play some AFL footy this year.

I would say around the same time Dean Laidley and Mick Malthouse pair up on So You Think You Can Dance.
