are the media reports correct in saying that the directors have been advised that ,due to a legal technicality, they may not be forced to have a spill of board positions?
let me say that i am not a carlton supporter, but ,if the reports are true ,that the selfishness of the current board members to safeguard their own positions before the best interests of the club, it might explain ,in some way ,why a once powerful club has lost its way this year.
enough of the supporters took the time and effort to draw up and sign the petition ,yet ,if the reports are correct, those board members are not interested in listening to the wishes of the members.
letbthe members decide who they want to represent them, don't try to avoid the issues by hiding behind some technicality.

Agree 100%. It just goes to show how selfish and pig-headed the current board are. They think they are more important than the club and it's supporters. I can't wait to vote their sorry ars.es out of there.

I don't barrack for Carlton either, but when one of your MAJOR board members has a huge role in the departure of a player like Aaron Hamill leaving the club, then there is problems with the board. The board should run the club - and as you would know no members, no club - so the board should be elected by the members. I might be naive, but I was unaware Mr E basically has handpicked the board!!

Not only has he hand picked the board, he has hand picked his successor and the next few boards in advance. And that is only he ever wants to go anyway. I think he has designs on dying in office. If he keeps destroying this club, it may be sooner than he thinks!!

A very good mate of mine, who was a premiership player for Carlton and was still playing up until just a few years ago, was telling me recently that the players used to have a competition amongst themselves - who could hit John Elliott with a footy when he came out onto the ground occasionally for a bit of friendly kick-to-kick during training. He never realised, even when a footballs rained down on him continuousy. Even Parko didn't know about the players little "challenge". It illustrates what THEY think of their prez ....
