Do I need to be? I simply know that he doesn't have OP.

Why exactly do you question someone that says he doesn't have something (and is right) but don't question someone who said he does have something?

I have not made any statement confirming or denying that he has OP.

You have made a statement that he does not have OP without any evidence.

How does that work?

Hence my question: "Are you his doctor?"

You can believe it or not, doesn't faze me but you won't hear the Bulldogs say that Higgo has OP this year.

To be fair though, the bulldogs (and other clubs for that matter) are extremely recalcitrant when it comes to owning up that one of their stars has OP, and this is mainly due to them not wanting to provide the opposition with a matchup free-kick as players with OP generally struggle with an opponent that runs off them.

Hence it's much easier to believe he has OP or the beginnings of OP than to believe he doesn't right at this moment, especially seeing as he missed 3 matches with groin soreness two weeks after a bye.

Precisely. When was the last time a club owned up to a player suffering from this affliction?

It has become a taboo word. Given Higgins history and the Doggies claiming he was out with general soreness, you cannot believe anything the club anounces in regards to Higgins. When was the last time general soreness kept a player out for 4 weeks?

Yes very tricky. He could still go very well from here on in and still put up an average you'd be happy with as a keeper and you'll save a trade. After it it was just one bad game where the Dogs were getting thumped too. But he could stink it up and keep getting injured.

Leaning towards keeping him...it was just one bad game he only played half the match and his team got hammered...most of his team-mates had shockers too. Got the best cover up front in my team IF he gets injured again. Whats the worst that can happen? My season is already long gone.

To keep him.. or to upgrade him.. tricky.

Been stressing over this the whole week! And panicking for the last few hours (instead of doing my assignment).

Besides his inconsistency, I think another good reason to trade him is to use the $$ for upgrades next week..

Might just go Higgins -> Mzungu this week, frees up plenty of $ to make about 3 straight upgrades!

Cool story mate. Look forward to hearing he had OP at the end of the season when the clubs tell all.

When did I say he has OP?

I suspect he has it, but I don't know for sure.

The writing was on the wall when he was out for his third week in a row with 'general soreness'.

excellent and he doesn't have OP. The writing on the wall is the fact that he doesn't actually have it.

Gave Higgins a miss this year after he has burnt me in the past, just too inconsistent and injury prone.

Having said that, I decided to go with Rioli instead who also got injured and I had to trade out.

I think this is the dilemma. You take Higgins for his scoring potential and if you choose not to take him, you either take someone else who has injury/inconsistency worries or you sacrifice money that could be spent elsewhere.

I took the risk this year because he was very good to me last year when he was on the ground, and it allowed me to spend a little more money elsewhere. I haven't given up on him yet but I will definitely think twice next year. Still may get him in, depending on the shape of my team.

Don't want to waste a trade on him now that he's back and showing some signs of at least returning to adequate scoring. Would love to go back to the start of the year and get rid of him though.
