To me that sounds like he needs a break (from playing Ivey) so he can focus on Durrr.

9 biggest pots (>530k) between them in PLO all went to PA.

Little off topic and obviously not the same as $4mil but I know a few people who make well >$100k a year from poker but still keep a 9-5 job. Even if it's a hell of a lot more than what they make from their usual job they still like some stability.

Edit: just should clarify, by know I mean i've spoken to online.

I think the wise thing to do is always maintain part-time employment and play a lot of poker, online and playing the tournament circuit (ANZPT, APPT, APT, WSOP).
