Yes certainly has been.
Several 40+ goal games served up so far and at least one over 50 with about a half dozen 200+ scores kicked.
Although the weather's been very good all season by all reports up North and along the Coast and the grounds are still nice and firm (we are in a drought) which has been conducive to good scoring.
Spot on in regards to the AFL teams not being able to score at Aurora, they often complain about the size of the ground, but it's more the defensive-style of game at AFL level and reliance on playing down the wings that keeps the scoring down rather than the venue itself.
The ground can have very high scores kicked on it, but obviously the level of defence in NTFL football is nowhere near that of the AFL.
And to be honest, it was generally not a particularly high scoring ground in TFL football either when two evenly matched sides played there, although North Launceston did ram home 47 there one day against South Launceston to smash the TFL record by over seven goals - two of the three previous highest were recorded on the huge Boyer Oval at New Norfolk in the 80's, the second highest was on the postage-stamp sized North Hobart in 1991.
It is a fairly wide ground, and if you play the flanks too often you can have the tendancy to get lost out there.

In regards to NSW Uni 81.49 (535) v Blacktown 0.1 (1), how does a team manage to score 81 goals and still score 49 behinds?

Also, is this the record for most behinds (49) in a game or have their been cases of more behinds being scored?

130 scoring shots is pretty good!

130 scoring shots is pretty good!

Sheeze you'd think with an 80 goal win, there wouldn't be too much pressure on the blokes having shots for goal!

They now play all their games at Goolwa, and are simply known as The Saints
