He's also a shit player!... If you can't start for the Knicks you're in trouble
Besides look at the leap of Spud Webb.. He'd make Nate Robinson look like Shaq

Back to Footy.. Trent Croad has the record doesn't he? From watching games though surely Robbo would have to have a great one

yeah no joke i dont think thats physically impossible without being on some sourt of performance enhancers.

Not a footballer, but i've seen a samoan volleyballer do 115cm... damn... min is 90cm, which i thinks decent, but he just stayed in the air.

For afl, i know croad had about 90odd i think. I cant remember who, but a recent aboriginal draftee, past fee yrs, got over 100cm

Jeff White would have to have one of the biggest vertical leaps wouldn't he?? Robertson would also be up there....And Weetra does have a huge vertical leap!!(Also killed it in the intra club today)....Newton seems to have a big leap:D

These are some of the contenders from melbourne:thumbsu:

Is he the guy in the WAFL that took a huge hanger in the goal square last year?

Indeed

Carl Peterson who was cut by richmond last year had a vertical jump of 150cm

and Goudis who was drafted this year jumps 101cm

Buddy I'd believe 101cm, cause thats not so rare. In inches it works out to be around 40.....which for australian standards is awesome.....you'd struggle to know any1 that can launch that high.

But 150cm is around 60 inches and i don't mean to call u a teller of lies, but think about this, MJ had a 42 inch standing vertical.....Vince Carter the same.....A Harlem Globe Trotter, Michael Wilson, has a 60 inch leap frog on him and hes a freak show.....so basically your talkin about maybe 5 people in the world that can jump that high......and a "CUT" afl player had those attributes.....

TRUST ME.....if he did we woulda heard about them.....

Shaun Hampson (definiton of spring-heeled jack, and a big one at that) - watch this guy: came to the game late, but starting to hit his straps - Ratts has given him confidence and he's started to blossom. This guy proves that "White men can jump"! Brennan would have to be up there as well.

Paul Mugumbwa

if anyone has seen him play, then they know what i am talking about
Oh god yes

Anyways im hearing soo much shit in this thread,

100cm is pretty amazing from a STANDING jump, a verticle leap is technically a one step jump, and Croad set the record at draft camp at 84cm, which is pretty impressive
Anyone saying any AFL player was doing over 90 on a standing verticle leap ild say their full of shit.

As someone said, I think Spud Webb from the NBA had the record for the NBA draft camp in the standing verticle leap, but he was a bit of a dud

I Think people dont understand the difference from a Running Verticle leap and a standing verticle leap, the best running verticle leap would be jarrod brennan who had 103cm in the draft camp

I can jump right over my miniature schnauzer's kennell...and thats without much of a run up.

Don't let your obvious talent go to waste, put in the hard yards and before you know it you could be jumping over the thorn covered rose bush in the backyard.

Been there done that...U12's i played a ground where all the tuff kids jumped a line of twiggy rose bushes between the sheds and the ground.

I got to say i rarely ever played with cuts...and noone ever had the guts to slap any dencorub on my balls in the showers either.

I was a grommet legend ...lived life on the edge and invented "Xtreme" Footy. Most kids would be in awe of the risks i took playing footy.

They write songs and poems about me these days.
