Buddy I'd believe 101cm, cause thats not so rare. In inches it works out ot be around 40.....which for australian standards is awesome.....you'd struggle to know any1 that can launch that high.

But 150cm is around 60 inches and i don't mean to call u a teller of lies, but think about this, MJ had a 42 inch standing vertical.....Vince Carter the same.....A Harlem Globe Trotter, Michael Wilson, has a 60 inch leap frog on him and hes a freak show.....so basically your talkin about maybe 5 people in the world that can jump that high......and a "CUT" afl player had those attributes.....

TRUST ME.....if he did we woulda heard about them.....

no worries i am just going on what i was told when we drafted him last year, these are running vertical jump scores lets remember, i like you when i first heard about this guy was so keen to go see him play so i went down to richmond training one day to watch him and his jumping up for just a normal mark was simply amazing, the year before he was drafted he was jumping over seaby in the WAFL and for a guy around 185cm i think thats a fair effort, its a shame the kid had attitude problems i had a really good feeling about this guy

Been there done that...U12's i played a ground where all the tuff kids jumped a line of twiggy rose bushes between the sheds and the ground.

I got to say i rarely ever played with cuts...and noone ever had the guts to slap any dencorub on my balls in the showers either.

I was a grommet legend ...lived life on the edge and invented "Xtreme" Footy. Most kids would be in awe of the risks i took playing footy.

They write songs and poems about me these days.

just to clarrify something jumpin jai, why would 11 year old's want to 'slap dencorub' on your balls in the first place?

But at 11 years old?
Yepp ...thing was they were all dropping like flies at the time. The entire team was excited at our impending manhood and soon no game became extreme enough.
Wasnt long before i was taking hangers over my mum when she was preparing dinner...and flirting with death jumping for the ceiling fan.

Not a footballer, but i've seen a samoan volleyballer do 115cm... damn... min is 90cm, which i thinks decent, but he just stayed in the air.

For afl, i know croad had about 90odd i think. I cant remember who, but a recent aboriginal draftee, past fee yrs, got over 100cm

I think it was Chris Egan. Pretty sure Croad has the record for highest standing vertical leap, Egan for running vertical leap.

Re Basketball, San Antonio Spurs once drafted a lithuanian guy named Robertas Javtokas, from one step he could pick up a coin sat on top of the backboard. (mind you he was 6ft 11" to start with).

Once during a pre-season, for a bet, he dunked from the free throw line while jumping over a car. But he got knocked off his motorbike by a truck that he was trying to overtake on the inside lane. Now plays mediocre basketball for Panathiakos I think in Greece, used to play for Lietvos Ryvas (or similar) in the Euroleague. I think he had a 43" standing leap.

tim boyle from the hawks hasnt had many goes at the top level yet but has taken alot of hangers in the vfl

ironically he took those marks in the 2s because he was coming back from a snapped leg which happened on the way down from a massive hang in a preseason match when he first come to town

the man can jump

any evidence of this. would love to see a pic or vids

It was quoted in articles when he arrived at Punt Road, I'm busy atm but maybe google his name with Claremont perth or something.

It may have been 196cm or 198cm, forget which one, but I am certain about it. We played him in the ruck last year and he is only 183cm tall which adds to the legitimacy.

Kadour Ziani (5'10) has a 60'' standing vertical leap, which I believe is the world record. He plays basketball, some of his stuff is on youtube.
