That's 56" and it's not "standing", also it seems he's 5'11". For mine it would be more likely that the best vertical leapers would be those athletes who train specifically to do that. They are called high jumpers and the differential record is 59cm by Franklin Jacobs (USA) and Stefan Holm (Sweden): this measurement is the difference between an athlete's height and his best clearance. For a 183cm athlete (C of G approx 98cm above ground) it represents a vertical jump of about 157cm.Kadour Ziani (5'10) has a 60'' standing vertical leap, which I believe is the world record.
