Seems to be pretty even in Australia:

Though, depsite that article having been written earlier this year, the stats only span from 2001 to 2012 (same as the publication on the AIC website that the ABC referenced). Not sure if more up to date stats exist Thegibbsgamble?
This is a more recent study (2017) for world wide cases:
https://bmjpaedsopen.bmj.com/content/bmjpo/1/1/e000112.full.pdf
A few quotes from that study:
Seems mothers kill far more within the first year of the child's life - and are almost exclusively the perpetrators in neonaticides (i.e. killing within the first 24 hours). But the fact that it is pretty even for children under 18 overall suggests that fathers kill more than mothers as the child gets older.
This is the gold medal and WR holder in the oppression Olympics.
Well here are some more sobering figures for you. They are the types of figures so many individuals/groups just cannot comprehend and other individual/groups would prefer to remain out of the public arena. Unfortunately hiding the realities, as we all know, never illuminates the abhorrent truths. Thanks I had read the AIC report directly .. there's a really alarming sentence in that article: At least one child in Australia is killed by a parent each fortnight,
the AIC report has limitations as well:
for example, a step-parent is more culpable than a custodial parent in the homicide
incident; however, the custodial parent is classified as the primary offender because they
had a closer relationship with the victim.

Its a good article. No idea. Generally people try to pick something apart. Wondering if everyone is tacitly agreeing.
