Post your best hindsight squads.

Don't just put obvious one hit wonders in like Wiggins. Put in people who you think could continue to score similarly all year.

Backs: Goddard, Scotland, Cornes, Bock, Hargrave, Houlihan, Petterd (Cheney, Petrenko)
Centres: Gibbs, Wells, Pearce, Ray, Winderlich, Tuck (Rich, Robinsons)
Rucks: Cox, McIntosh (Spencer, Jacobs)
Forwards: Franklin, Gia, Lovett, Higgins, Skipworth, Krakauer, Ziebell (Hogan, Brown)

Hargrave: Bloody consistent back every year and every year I ignore him
Scotland: No preseason hasn't done too much bad and he'll only get better over the season as he gets fitter.
Pearce: I ignored pre season numbers because I thought the Power midfield is too stocked so he'll have less TOG in the proper season.
Ray: Thought he was just a NAB hero
Winderlich: Will probably get injured but had a great NAB and has always had potential
Lovett: If he stays in the good books will relish being in the midfield
Gia: Always overlook him, same as Hargrave...

Even if you made that team now, i'm not so sure you'd take out the prize. A few possible one hit wonders.

Backs: Fisher, Cornes, Bock, Houlihan, Gilbert, Petterd, Geary (cheney, petrenko)
Mids: Ablett, Gibbs, Wells, Dalziell, Bartel, Otten (Robinson, Beams)
Rucks: Ottens, McIntosh (Spencer, Jacobs)
Forwards: Franklin, Gia, Johnson, Chapman, Higgins, Skipworth, Ziebell (Walker, Hogan)

Obviously not there. I don't rate Rich's DT ability (even with the 80 odd last week) and Cox isn't a necessity if there are two high scoring mid priced ruckmen.

My hindsight squad would be

B: SFisher, BGoddard, CCornes, SGilbert, Rhoulihan, RPetterd, Cheney b: Petrenko, Suban

C: Gablett, CJudd, NDalSanto, LPower, AOttens, DRich b:MRobinson, DBeams

R: DCox, HMac b: Spencer, The carlton rookie?

F: BDeledio, BHarvey, MPavlich, Shiggins, Skipworth, Krakoer, Ziebell b:Walker, Brown.

(Deleido, Bharvey, Pav all had shockers but i've got every confidence in them)

I've got 23 out of 30 in my hindsight team.

Why is that Stormer? Interested in your thoughts on this.

The second half was much better by Rich but in the first half, having watched him closely, I see the points others have made about him being a ball watcher. Doesn't really look and run hard for the ball. He'll still be a decent 50-60 average player but unless he changes he goes harder for the ball, isn't as good of a DT prospect as an SC prospect. Robinson, Otten and Beams all have a higher scoring potential than Rich.

Agree he has limited upside and 50-60 is probably around the mark but I like the job security he has over others. You can't make cash in the VFL and he looks the safest of the ones you mention for 8-10 games although Otten and Robbo have some claims. Nice thoughts though.

Job security is an issue if you need an emergency or starter for a long time. Otten, Robinson and co only need about 6-8 games to make the necessary amount of money.
