Some Essendon supporters still say the 2013 season has a * because they couldn't participate in finals. They were top of the ladder after round 6 and top 4 until round 18.

Might be why they want Hird back...

It's an interesting one. I think in 2013 we played on heightened emotions that got us over the line in a few games (freo game perfect example). Hirdy obviously made massive mistakes (the whole ****ing club did) but I do think he can coach and lets be honest it was 10 years ago now ffs.

But do I think he should coach at Essendon next year? No ****ing way.

Sponsors would ****ing love it - imagine all the extra promotion they would get. You seriously think they would be worried about lost sales because we hired hird?

He’s on a hiding to nothing coming back to us in a coaching role. Only possible thing that would remove the pressure would be a premiership which presumably means we need to win a final.
