Can't stand the guy, and thought he was a bit overrated, but tonight's performance was amazing. Bastard - i backed the Eagles as per usual lol.

I found respect, big time for Hirdy after the sickening collision
he had with that other bummer.

I know he was always a champ but until then i considered him
WAY OVER-RATED.

The guy has guts AND talent.
I remember rumors saying that Bowdown was like hird - lol@how wrong they were.

He is a champion. No doubt about that. There are only two other players currently going around that could single-handedly drag his team over the line like that - Voss and Carey (in his prime).

Without Hird, Essendon would have blown an 8 goal lead and gone down by 8 them selves!

Oh, and Lloyd wasn't too bad either!

The bombers... I hate em.

I so wish the Eagles won last night because 0-3 is priceless. I love seeing the Bombers lose.

Hird last night was a champion though. After reading his book and seeing the collision, I now see him as a true champion.

Lloyd.. well I dont have as much respect for him :D

certainly one of the best performances i,ve seen since ablett,s performance in the 89GF.
its a shame that his name maybe tarnished for his off field drama,s on the footy show.
as for lloyd well for a bloke who still throws up grass in a sheltered staduim speaks volumes of whats between his ears routine or no routine:D

cheers!

James Hird hold your head up high!

By far, the greatest influential quarter of football ever played. Single handedly won the game for the bombers in that final term.

Only question i have now is, will the umpires be daring enough to give him the 3 votes???? :D

the guy is all class, he again has taken the game by the neck and made sure the dons were the winners, saw him do it last year against Freo at subi in the final and again last night after a quiet first half he turned it on for all to see.

shame he wears the wrong coloured stripe.
