Big question, Tom Hislop has recovered quickly and is avaliable to play. We have been struggling with centre clearances, and Anzac Day atmosphere would be a great experience for fast tracking his career. Do we bring him in when we desperately need him or make him earn his spot through Bendigo??

I tell you what, him and Riemers in the same midfield in the future are going to rip a few heads off.

Cant wait.

Just like the ol' Soloman/Johnson/Johnson combo. Sad time to think that that's a great era gone past when we think at the end of this season it's unlikely any of them will be at Essendon. Possible, but unlikely. Who knows, they might all be at freo.

Laughable to think he could play Anzac Day. I'd think he has a few months at Bendigo ahead of him.

Whats laughable is our ability to win centre clearances, we have been smashed out of the centre every game bar Kangeroos, think if we broke even with Bulldogs and Saints we would most likely be 4W 1L.

Just think your showing to much confidence in a kid who's been injured for most of his time at Essendon. Especially against a strong bodied opponent.

I'm not banking on him having an immediate impact just think its a hole that needs to be blocked sooner rather than later and IMO Anzac Day would be great experience for the young guns.

What makes you think he could win clearances at AFL level.

He has played 3 games for an extremely modest return and has spent the majority of his time at Essendon injured or suspended.

I agree we need to win clearances but what possible reason, other than a pipe dream, could you have for thinking Hislop could come in and do that?

As I said I dont expect immediate impact but would much prefer Hislop in developing than JJ who is past it.

Tommy needs a good month at Bendigo to get him into the swing of things.
If after that and his form is good enough then could play seniors and perhaps never look back

He is one of the top 5 ruckman in the comp atm.
And Laycock does the job better than many other team's second ruckmen

Top 5?

He'd be AA Bench at the moment. And that's only because they'd give Cox the starting position on reputation.

Only McVeigh would be challenging him for our B&F at the moment.
