While I'm here, PSA all the Hitman games are crazy cheap on Steam right now until tomorrow I think, Silent Assassin/Blood Money/Contracts are only $1.75 US iirc. Absolution is $4.99. There is a Collection with 5 games for $9.99.

* Just checked, sale ends in 7 hours.
Will buy.
Will never play.

I fukin luv Hitman but hate the episode release schedule and gonna wait
Yeah this has put me off it too, and that it's digital only.

A hard copy is meant to release toward the end of the year.

I just hope the funding towards the game isn't impacted by the episode take up numbers.

I understand why they do episode release

It allows them to tweak and fix bugs on the fly

I've never played Hitman series as I missed most of PS3 timeline

No hard copy ....grrr

Done the tutorial and part way through the Paris mission

So far looks like blood money with more bells and whistles
Hoping that as i replay the mission I discover more layers

so.... should i buy it?

been a fan of the series for years

How many hours of content is in this intro pack?

Depends if you are the completionist type
and/or interested in replaying the levels for different types of kills.
It feels like there are so many more ways to eliminate your targets than previous games. The main Paris level is huge.
I think it took me a good 4 hours to do the tutorials and the Paris mission on the first play through. Although I am a bit methodical and slow.
Then with all the player made contracts and the level specific challenges (of which I've barely scratched the surface) I've messed around for another 3-4 hours.
You could fly through these missions in a couple of hours, but if you're a fan of the series and like to get the most out of it, there's enough meat to get 6-8 hours in my opinion. Easily.

Also, for those that played Absolution, here is a comparison of the level sizes. image.jpeg

Yep, I'd agree.

This is ultra traditional Hitman. Back to basics, if you will. While I liked the diversion Absolution took, it's very obvious from the beginning that this is nothing like Absolution and is more back to the Contracts/Blood Money days of "here's your target and a big environment, figure out how to take them out as quietly or as loudly as you want".

The Paris level is awe-inspiring huge. The amount of stuff is insane, 4 different levels, with a huge outside area all with their own little sub-sets of elements that can help you complete your tasks. I'm pretty much running around the entire area the first few times just seeing what there is, what I can pick up, view, hear, etc. that will ultimately help me accomplish the kills necessary. Although I do find it hard not to randomly attack people and see the chaos that ensues. :D

Having a ton of fun already, can't wait for more eps to come out.

Wow did all of the tutorials and main mission in 2-3 hours max!
There is a fair bit to do though that i haven't done yet

On hindsight would've waited for at least another episode before i bought it

Read and seen the reviews

Hmm most gave it 7/10

I think lets wait n see how the other episodes pan out

I'm not sold on it, all the reviews said the missions rely too much on disguise.

I see what you're saying however I read metacritic reviews as they have both writer and user reviews thus you get a fairly balanced review

They're wrong.

There's actually a challenge in every level to complete missions in your base outfit.

I found this
Even in the contracts
It s do "x" get another disguise to go in another room so i can get another disguise so i can go into the room i need and get the disguise for the first place

Had a lot of fun killing the first contract in an all out gun fight

Hmm I'm sure it's good but it's a bit basic

If someone walked into my workplace in disguise ....I would go hey mate you don't work here .....

Some creativity is needed in my view but people and fans will enjoy it
