Have just enrolled and created my uni timetable. It is unbelievably awesome, I have an extra long weekend every week. As well as finding some more work, I was thinking of finding a hobby of some sort, learning to play guitar is probably an idea that really interests me.

What hobbies do you fellow GD lurkers have, and why or how did you decide to get into it.

Good luck getting more work. I remember my first year of uni. You and about 500k other students are thinking the same thing right now. As for your spare time. Soon you will find group assignments, drinking sessions and study (in last 3 weeks of semester) will take up your time.

If you want some other advice though. Do not try and give yourself 5+ hours of classes straight. You will not last that long and will miss a lot of material via either skipping the class because you CBF or you have just lost concentration because of the 4 hours straight previously.

Having said all that my hobby I took up was computer gaming. Sucked at it and gave up after first year haha.

I went to uni last year too, but found I wasn't interested in the course so I have changed to a new uni. So I do know what its all about and stuff...

But for the moment studying and drinking sessions (have given up drinking until end of pre season footy) just aren't happening and I'm finding myself bored and other than exercise havent found anything to do. Thus, I have come to the wise idea of asking GD.

My favourite hobby is probably sports gambling, just so long as it's kept under control.
