need some ideas for a weekend away with my girlfriend
namely somewhere in victoria,or maybe the southern part of nsw and preferably close to the beach
all suggestions will be appreciated

Metung's not a bad spot. You're on the Gippsland lakes, top pub there, it's a quiet spot and only a short drive to the surf (Lakes Entrance). About 3/4 hour drive to Mitchell River National Park, the Den Of Nargun is worth checking out, as well as Coonawarra camp park (horse riding is tops). Hire a cruiser from Bulls and shoot across the lake to Loch Sport pub for a feed and over to Sperm Whale Head for a look.

How bout somewhere like Wilsons Prom or somewhere in the country such as Dayelsford or even down near lorne they r a fewplaces that i would suggest.

Daylesford i live right near thire in Hepbrun Springs

Phillip Island is a great place to visit, and especially if you like to surf. Check out the grand prix track whilst youre there as well.
