45 Matches to go.
For a new Record Crowds must Average: 31,661 (Should do easily).
To beat 1998 Crowds must Average: 34,994. (Should do easily).
To beat 2011 Crowds must Average (Gold Coast introduced to competition): 35,546 (Should do)
To beat 2006 Crowds must Average: 37,116 (Definitely line-ball)
To exceed 7 million Spectators Crowds must Average: 37,571 (A challenge set to grow after Round 19).

Certainly won't threaten the Top 5 Crowd Averages. Maybe in 2019.

Just on a single example.

Due to seating arrangements and the time of match-day, the Richmond V Collingwood game won't get the crowd numbers that it could have in other circumstances.

Given the addition of GWS and GC, I don't see those top 5 in danger any time soon.

Would need Collingwood, Richmond and Essendon all pushing for top 6.

What impact has Optus Stadium had on the averages? By my reckoning it is adding 9,000 a week
Perth Stadium average attendance in 2018 - 46,786

I don't understand how you think we should get 35-36,000 per game over the remaining 4 rounds when the 2018 average is 34,544.

I would add - better weather brings better crowds. We're not there yet, but weather will be slowly improving into September.

Average for the first six rounds was 38,740.

Still 11 teams in the finals race going into this weekend - and Adelaide playing a Derby (and a well-supported team anyway).
