It was nothing more than a shitty coked up idea someone had while at the races. Look at all that spare land in there behind the horses!Honestly sounds like they think Pert is doing a crap job and would rather the new CEO work on it when he has actually started.
It’s definitely a “look over there” project to keep everyone quiet until they find the best time to pack it in and pretend that Casey Fields would be a stellar idea for a home base.It was nothing more than a shitty coked up idea someone had while at the races. I’m glad we are forking out member money to someone who isn’t delivering then.Honestly sounds like they think Pert is doing a crap job and would rather the new CEO work on it when he has actually started.

Wasn't this whole thing Pert's brainchild?Honestly sounds like they think Pert is doing a crap job and would rather the new CEO work on it when he has actually started.
I believe so. And everyone said rightio because Collingwood successfully got their new home under his tenure (though they started with a more plausible proposition)Wasn't this whole thing Pert's brainchild?
They don't give away developable land though.Maybe Geelong can sort us some cheap land to develop.
We don’t really need to develop it though. Just paint some oval shapes, bang in some poles and erect a shed with some stationary bikes in it.They don't give away developable land though.
Some talk we're still talking to the AFL about Waverley, perhaps as a stop gap until Caulfield is ready. Tigers also keen, but they have other options so we could make the case it's more pressing for us.
You'd think so. I mean even the coach had a dig on his way out about where we train.I wonder if the fact we would need to be at Waverley for multiple years before Caulfield is finished gives us he edge over tigers to get it.
Not sure to be honest. Assume with planning and approvals etc then the building it’ll be a few years away from moving in even once given the go ahead. You'd think so. I mean even the coach had a dig on his way out about where we train.
If Caulfield gets the green light end of year, what's the word on how long it will take to build? 2 years? 3?
What held them up for so long, funding?Hawthorn did its feasibility study for Dingley in 2015 and got its planning permit approved in 2016. They haven't moved in yet.
Different projects obviously, but Caulfield—if it goes ahead—will be a loooooong way off
Battery acid and toxic waste removalWhat held them up for so long, funding?
From Hawthorn, yes, but what about Dingley?Battery acid and toxic waste removal
I'd have to look at the plans again. But Caulfield is a fantastic location. I cant remember what it all looked like. Was the ground in the middle of the racecourse?Vacant land in good spots is always vacant for a reason.

There is no oval inside the race course . Might have an issue with the ponds inside the race course though , my old High School is out the back . There is an oval out the back ,but i don't think the VRC owns it .I'd have to look at the plans again. But Caulfield is a fantastic location. I cant remember what it all looked like. The plan on the website shows where we want to ovals to be https://www.melbournefc.com.au/club/creating-our-homeI'd have to look at the plans again. But Caulfield is a fantastic location. I cant remember what it all looked like. Was the ground in the middle of the racecourse?
