Lucky Baby was 4 wide all the way, had a torrid run but gave nothing, maybe it's had enough this time in, maybe it hurt itself, or maybe it just isn't a miler. I'll be a keen onlooker next start to see if it can bounce back.

Here's something from the stewards report on the last race from Hong Kong:
"E Saint-Martin (Lucky Baby's jockey) said the intention was to ride the horse which was racing over 1600 Metres for the first time today with some cover. He said LUCKY BABY proved very difficult to settle, because of this did not in his opinion breathe properly, was left racing without cover and as a consequence did not finish the race off. LUCKY BABY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, LUCKY BABY was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea and a continuous displacement of the soft palate."
Reading that makes me a bit happier, that he had an excuse for failing, although the horse has had respiritory problems before so hopefully it's not a sign of any bigger problems which may require surgery.
