Hopefully all the Marasco talk can die off now...

To even mention this dud in the same breath as Northerly is so insulting let alone compare them. Northerly would of brained that Turnball field carrying 65kg. :)

Well Olli hunted him up early, couldnt get in, didn't think he had to do to much work even though he sat 3 wide. Bit one paced?? He's always been like that though.

I unloaded on Harada in the Doncaster and saved on Aqua Damore back in the Autumn and let me tell you, Harada had the dream run in a crap race and won in a grinding fashion while Aqua who blundered the start should of donkey licked them running fourth. I knew then to stay away from Harada... In fact the Hawkes horse in that race who ran second, name escapes me, should of won but the barrier beat it....

So anyway, i'd be on Haradasun only against B graders. :)

Haha, you're not upset are you? :)

Do you honestly think even if Harada say hate gate 5, he would of beat Devil Moon?? No let me rephrase, do you think he would of even got 50cm closer? :)

There were a couple of ordinary runs in that race yesterday I thought.

Marasco. Yep, surely the pen's are coming out now? is 2000+ too far for him?? (I ask only because I truely don't know that much about him and his distances) I honestly thought Flemington was his track, I really don't think he will get around MV. I could be proved wrong, and have been before ;) But he struggled with Caulfield, surely he will struggle at MV?

I am still tipping El and Miss F for the main faves of the Cox Plate.

Was anyone really, I mean seriously saying Marasco was as god as Northerly? I know there was talk but I dont think anyone really believed it did they? Marasco is a group 1 miler though, make no mistake about it. He just doesnt get 2000m in top company. Oh and being galloped on wouldnt have helped.

I'm not saying Harada would have beaten DM but would have finished closer with a better barrier... It was a terrible ride... hunted forward then just left it 3 & 4 wide without cover... You don't win G1 races sitting out there....

Correct, you're a very astute individual captain.

Huge run from Haradasun, given the circumstances. El Segundo was the disappointment of the race.

El Segundo prolly looked a bit disappointing but switched back to the worst part of the track... Is in the Cox Plate up to his ears....

I reckon they should freshen up Marasco and run him in the Emriates...

Marasco is still going to the Cox Plate,Fred reckons even though he was galloped on it was still too bad to be true.
As long as his blood comes back ok,he 's running.

I will be on board for the cox plate, theres no doubt it can run the 2000m's, have a look at its form last year when it was racing against everything in Australia and not just Victorians....

It will go close in the cox plate I reckon, its had a couple of shockers but there have been excuses.

I think miss finland will win, but I'm the sort of punter that will take on the favourite (not saying it works), $15 is great odds IMO for Marasco

EchucaBoy, I have been this horse's biggest fan this campaign but I got a bit back off him last week by laying him for plenty - never had any horse going for as big a loss ever. The 1800m race at Caulfield (Underwood I think) was enough for me as he had a perfect run and gave nothing over the last 200. He got a perfect run through on the turn and came from a length behind MF to 2 lengths in front of her and she gave him windburn when the whips were cracking over the last furlong.

I'm on him in the Cox Plate at gross unders ($13 early) and to be honest wouldn't back him now at 50s.

Would be surprised to see him run actually despite what the stable is saying

I'm gonna have a little tickle at him on Cox Plate Day as well if he runs. Previous to this spring his form over 2000m wasn't bad so i think he deserves one more chance.
