I get the big deal in getting Federer there and the expected jingo-s**t around 'our' local hope but for organizers to come out and blatantly desire for a certain outcome is a great way to say f*** you to the other 6 teams

Terrible news wrt Kvitova. Glad she's physically fine (mostly) but her injured hand will keep her out indefinitely.

Just a day earlier she had withdrawn from the Hopman Cup due to slow recovery from stress fractures. She'll be replaced by doubles specialist, Hradecká.

I agree, I can't really get into the Hopman Cup but if anything I probably enjoy the Mixed Doubles the most just because it is something different. I don't think it is a great move.

Yep, don't like anything about Nick's outfit. Lopez's outfit is not too bad though. Incidentally Lopez was voted the best dressed tennis player at the Aus Open in 2015. He wears Ellesse clothes.
