I'm glad you put theIn there because I would imagine there would be a lot of replies along the lines of
and
with that comment. (Though I did have a bit of a soft spot for Arnott and was glad he saw success at Centrals in the SANFL).
Poor bugger! That's two goes he's had tonight- both fails. That you Bobby?

Love the Hyphen's work. But didn't Arnott had pace to burn. I see the hyphen being more of a Ling/Bartel type resting forward, he may not see the heights of these legends of our club but he's strong overhead, has a bit of intelligence and size about him and obviously the foot speed of a tortoise
Loved the poise and the slight move to the right before he kicks it - he knew he was about to be hammered as well.
I was surprised how tall and solid he is up close , also loved the way he kept playing after a pretty nasty knee in the ribs.
Didn't spit the dummy after a long apprenticeship in the 2's either - that's real character![]()
Take out his game as the sub and its 20.2 Disposals per game averaging out 75% game time, he has taken over kelly's role as the inside mid who plays the most limited game time 80.5% in 2013. His goals are a bonus, its unlikely that he will continue to score at such a high rate. I wonder how the inclusion of Caddy will affect his role in the team.

Liked Arnott but 'pace to burn'..... Not from memory. Covered a lot of ground though.
All this talk about 'pace' is starting to wear a bit thin. There are plenty of midfield footballers with 'pace' who hardly touch the pill. There are 'slow' guys who never get caught and dance their way out of packs on a regular basis. Certainly it helps, but nowhere near as big a factor as modern pundits would have us believe.
Swan isn't exactly mr speedy, Neither for that matter is Pendlewhatsit. Lenny Hayes, Jobe Watson, Ling etc etc All elite, all 'slow' ALL suffer the dreadful affliction of having no "pace" and leather poisoning on a regular basis.

Wasn't it good watching ol' Wojo streaming off the half back flank all those years ago thoughTenace had pace. Pace is over-rated.

The good thing now is he's showing that he doesn't need to be anyone; he's just fine being himself.*
* - the same applies to Guthrie and Caddy and Smedts. We really should stop being so desperate to compare them to a previous generation. For one thing, if anything these guys are ahead at the same stage.
Are you saying that it's ok for players to develop in the VFL? Surely not.
Probably because people like me can't be stuffed signing up.GHS has been nominated for goal of the year. Voting on the AFL site... https://goaloftheyear.afl.com.au/vote/round/12
Get along and post your vote.. somehow, and I can't understand it, he's only had 16% of the votes with a fairly standard long-range effort from Impey on 71%. If I'm understanding the system correctly he needs to win the voting this round to be in contention for goal of the year... even Kolodjashnij's effort was better than Impey's goal.

But I agree with all your comments.

Going well! Thanks for the reminder, Rockford.
Selwood has also got a nomination up for MOTY but he's up against Wingard...
By the way- GHS was the winner of the R5 MOTYGoing well!
Can't even freaking log in!!! (Did the MOTY but can't get in to vote on GOTY)GHS has been nominated for goal of the year. Voting on the AFL site... https://goaloftheyear.afl.com.au/vote/round/12

Too hard??As others have said you've gotta sign up make an account blah blah blah.
) just find it too difficult....George really deserves Goal of the Round for this effort. His voting is up to 26% now. Can't be too many votes registered.. which means we could have an impact on the result here. GHS is up to 17% (and Impey down to 69%) after one or two extra votes. It's not a matter of just blindly voting for the Cats' player, GHS kicked the best goal of the round and deserves to win.

Can see why people are finding it tricky signing up.Too hard??
Guess you have to want to do it- cos sometimes websites stuff you around so much it puts you off doing anything.
Some people (like me) just find it too difficult....
