Hottest 100 of the '10s

Eminem is obviously not going to make this countdown, his only really good album this decade just came out last month and isn't eligible for it

Is anyone else surprised that it isn't only limited to songs that actually made the 100? I assumed that was the point. Just started browsing and noticed there were upwards of 15 songs available for certain artists.

They’ve selected songs that polled in the top 200 of each year through the decade and then on top of that selected a couple of dozen other tracks that didn’t poll (Avicii’s Levels come to mind). But for the most part if an artist has a lot of tracks it’s because they’ve polled really well amongst the top 200 of each year.

yeah, no idea why My Number gets so much love. Mountain At My Gates is easily their best track. even What Went Down or Inhaler I find more enjoyable than My Number

I've heard My Number at numerous sporting events (both live and on TV). It just has that fun groove. In saying that, Mountain At My Gates got my vote.

None of these will make it but I love all these songs for a variety of reasons and that's all that matters.

I'm just trying to give you kids a heads up.

It's not my decade but I can still pick songs from the last decade that are better than the songs you Millennials pick.

I guess that's why Triple J's Hottest 100 has gone downhill the last decade.

And why they had to bring back Eminem for the Oscars to show Billie Eilish who was the real bad guy.

I sincerely hope for your sake you're not being serious here.

It's hard to think any grown adult could listen to Eminem in the last decade without cringing. He is hip hop for nuffies.

Same with Arctic Monkeys. The idea of Do I Wanna Know? being 2nd in Warm Tuna's predictions is quite incredible to me, as in the context of their overall Greatest Hits it wouldn't be particularly remarkable. I guess people just feed their band votes through that song.

I agree, but I couldn’t resist voting for it because it is the AM song that has caught the imagination of the everyday non-AM fan, and for it to get the win would be my favoured result

One of the better laughs I've had in a while. Cheers Plug!

Why are you laughing?

The Getaway is one of the best rock albums of the last decade.

It's a sad state of affairs when one of the great 90s rock bands can still produce one of the best rock albums 20 years later.

No need to be ageist. A great 90s rock band shouldn't necessarily be inferior in 2020 to a 10s rock band.

I'm not being ageist, there are some great 10s rock bands.

And when I say some, I really mean one.

Not many people are putting Foals in their playlists though.

Just goes to show that you Millennials wouldn't know a good rock band if you fell over one.

personally I love Foals, and Mountain at My Gates was so hard to leave off my list

lots of MILLENIALS love Foals too btw
