What did you do TheLoungeLizard ? I was housebound with a similar thing but lived interstate from family. Had just moved away and had no job too so I was pretty much wasted away a load of savings and had to get some centrelink payments (which the bastards later made me repay for some reason). Coles delivery was a handy thing. I started doing some study from home but it's was too easy to get distracted and just end up wasting the day away.

I broke my 5th metatarsal. I do understand the active thing. I did a 10km fun run like a month before.

Feel free to message me.

Don't just lie around and not wear the boot. Wear the boot and the crutches. I made a point of making my own cup of coffee every morning and at work even when I was on crutches! Don't get caught in the poor me victim mentality crap!!

I can tell you one thing that will help keep you motivated. Try it for just even one day and you'll see the difference.

In the morning, get a diary and make list of things that you will get done on that day, and try to cross off as many things you can. It can be as simple as making your lunch or sorting the laundry. If this makes a difference, keep doing this daily.

Other things you can look at are:-

Getting LED lights. In Victoria, there are a lot of companies willing to change halogens to LED for free. Got mine done a few days ago. Went without a hitch. They provide the electrician. So you just have to sit on the couch.

Review your insurances, electricity and gas. Probably Jan is a better month to do it though when the rates have been updated.

Just some ideas.
I might take you up on messaging you.
And yeah, I really must wear the boot at the house, I haven't because well, I know better than the doctor and it's a campaigner to have on but you are right, I must do it all the time now not on and off.

Musician, so it was all cash jobs or working on other bands/events/ect.

How did you get the Centrelink? I don't really want it but is there a injured/can't work one because I'd rather not go on the dole.
