How about a REAL election for a moderator?

I think on an issue as important as this, EVERY person who posts on this board (as a Lions fan) should get a say in who they want as moderator. I think a fair way of doing it would be to set aside a period of say, 2 days, that would give everyone plenty of time to see the topic and vote. Then whoever has the most votes at the end is nominated, and someone seconds it, and we leave it up to Bluey after that.

Sound fair??? It's just a thought.

Just let Bluey make a decision. There is no need to have an Election because whoever gets voted, he might not want that person as moderator.

Of course it isn't essential that we have one Denno...and a REAL election would have to be moderated by Bluey I reckon and his IP addy checker - can't have multiple personalities voting for themselves now can we? Actually couldn't have any nominees voting for themselves either - unless only each person was allowed one vote - none of this 3, 2, 1 stuff.

hmmm sounds pretty complicated to me.......gotta be wary of vote rorting!!

Good point, Danni. But if we give the nomination process its own thread, and make sure everyone knows they can vote once for one person, and we can beware of any unregistered posters (except those known to us as regular posters at this board) perhaps it won't be necessary for Bluey to have to do it for us. Unless he has the time I guess, then it'd be a great idea.
