2 weeks ago I would have though that Robbo was finished, and that was fine with me. He would retire gracefully, staying a one-club-man, and finishing a great career. When i heard possibilites of going to the doggies my heart sank. I hope he doesnt.

Also, after todays game. I rekon if he were to hit form these last 2 games, 1 more year would be in order.

what do yous rekon?

As much as i love robbo the only reason he wasnt in the whelan/weatley boat was that he will be delisted by melbourne and because he wants another year possibly could be picked up in the draft...HE HAS BEEN TOLD BY DEAN HIS SERVICES ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED IN THE RED AND BLUE to put it bluntly.....sorry fellas but thats how it is......

Pointless discussion.

Already GOONNNEE

Won't be going around next year in the red and blue.

Focus you attention on how the hell we are going to get rid of a contracted Newton - I am sure the club would happily take anything for him - but the best result for us is going to be if we can trade Newton and somebody else (maybe Bartram) for a third / fourth round draft pick / or an apple.

We are going to struggle to free up the space we need for next year.

I Lol'd :thumbsu:

Just as a side note, Robbo is only four goals behind Bate in our leading goalkicking award (not that it's a hard award to win these days), and has played eight less games. Wouldn't it be interesting if he wins the award and then gets delisted.

Sorry I think he is gone, Next year they could rotate Wona Davey Bate Miller Silvia Martin Morton(Flagged as a potential KPF) maric Watts and Jurrah.

I would much rather see game time put into Watts Jurrah Martin as our talls along side Miller to be the big body. We forget that Miller is still ranked as one of the best leaders amongst our players, pitty his kicking doesn't rank as high!

Also it is a stupid argument saying keep him cause we could get another Weetra instead. If we had that attitude this year we wouldn't have picked up Jetta with our final pick!!

People need to cut him some slack. The injury he had was serious - just to make it back has been a great effort from Robbo and indicates he has the passion. I cannot see why he can't be moved onto the vets list like Neitz was.

Yze was on the vets list as well but we should have got rid of him before we did.

We have our two Vets.

Bruce and Macdonald.

And can people understand please - he has already been moved on - its not a case of a decision being made - the decision HAS been made

Pretty sure it was Bail....

The impotrant question is how and who do we get rid of to make room on our list.....we will have picks 1, 2, 18, 34, PSD 1 and i would like to see Valenti and Spencer promoted to the main list.

That means we need to get rid of 7 people....

who will they be? Wheatly, Whelan, Robbo, J-Mac?, Bell (Trade), Newton (Trade), Bartram?, Buckley?

I know Bailey likes to move players on - he needs to be more mindful of those who have been great servants of our club - I thought his handling of White and YZe was somewhat disrespectful considering how much they have done for the club - I feel Robbo is in the same boat.

10am this morning its to be announced.

Seems like the boots will be hung up!! Tough call but right decision going forward i feel.

Great player Robbo, and has provided us with one hell of a highlights reel over his career.
