Any fishing news? I'd love to head down the lake for a couple of hours but um I just can't...hmm....get away from work and other commitments. BUT, it is a worthwhile recreation and good for all concerned, know what I mean?

Down at Woodside caught 12 foot gummy

Was fishing in the Darling river near Menindee about two weeks ago.
There was a group of five of us, and after three days we had caught 120 Perch.
Plenty of others as well that were undersized and we chucked back.
Also caught a few good sized Cod that we released back.
I caught a ripper, just like all Cod thought i just had a log or a Tortoise on the line because it was a dead weight, and then as soon as it got near the surface, BANG, gave a good fight.
I quite enjoy catching Cod, always a bit of fun, and some of them are bloody huge.

snapper season started a couple weeks ago, they are on in the bay!

This time of the year always means a trip to Whyalla to do some snapper fishing.
