Yep called a couple of times on Allnight sport.

sorry didn't c ur post got side track

those two words maths and alright are non exixtent in my vocab 2 be honest

Haha, if that freaks you out try doing Specalist and Physics.

How'd you find the last question? I mean, like one of the posts above, I'm not the best at maths (understatement) but I had absolutely no clue on what to do for that

I just took a punt on it and got -2 so i stuck with it. Checked with my other mates and they got the same thing so i hope it's right.

I almost died this week, 11 exams over 6 days (4.5 subjects), no joke (doing the IB course).

Went pretty good for all of them though. Only 1.5 subjects to go (4 exams) over the next week and a half. Guess the luck of the exam timetable stacked up most of my subjects in the same week.

Hi Benno,

I have a pretty similar timetable to you

What subjects do you do?

I do Biology, History and English HL
and Business Management, Spanish and Maths SL

goodluck for the rest of your exams

goodluck for the rest of your exams

English, Economics, ITGS HL
Maths, Arabic, Biology SL

Only have ITGS left :)

How'd you go for English Paper 2?

I don't think I did too well (probably a 5). None of the questions really suited my books (The Great Gatsby/1984/A Passage to India). Although, I'd be satisfied with a 5 for HL English.

Good luck to you too! :thumbsu:

Yeah I hear you on that one...everyone just walked out of the room shaking their heads...ridiculously hard for me

Spot on, same with us. Section B was just too hard. God, im telling ya, last years students had it easy. That's why we are coping it this year. And we are gunna be mrked harder this year.:(

But I thought if everyone gets a crap score, it will all get marked up? Or do you just mean the exam itself?

If everyone does crap you get marked against the highest mark in that class. But once that is done you are marked against the state.

Now the marking is crap. Say an A+ was a 70+. This year they will mark us an A+ from 85+ or something along that line.

It's pretty ****ed.

Statistically speaking to get a study score of 40 you need to be in the top 8% of students in whatever subject you do in the VCE. So the moderation from year to year doesn't really matter as long as you are in the top 8%. For a study score of 30 you need to be in the top 50%. That is BEFORE the subject is scaled up or down.

As for marking - the examiners only mark what is put in front of them. They don't marker harder or softer from year to year, only on the prescribed marking scheme given to them by VCAA.

Bottom line - beat 50% of the state and get a study score of 30.

And remember it's almost over! :thumbsu::)
