I'm not saying I'm happy with him, I'm only arguing the point that he hasn't underperformed. He was always going to be traded by most people who got him, he's made money to do that. If he'd underperformed he'd be avergaing 40 something and losing money.

i had Dyson too. thought he'd do a bit better. but hey, what do expect from 201k guys anyway? at least he made money. 208k Nicoski actually went down .

I'd argue that he hasn't made the money to do that. Everyone in my initial squad was either a keeper or was expected to make at least $70/$100k. Otherwise I wouldn't pick them. My assessment of their performance is based on my expectation, not their average last year. Apart from the guns (whose price is irrelevant once I have them), every non-keeper in my team (only 2 trades) has increased in value by $50k or more (except Meesen).

I expected 70's - 80's and the occasional 100+ from Ricky this year. He hasn't got anywhere near that. In my mind, that means he's underperformed.

He's averging 58. Is that what you expected from him? If so, why did you choose him? Why not get Tuck, Palmer, Ibbotson, Bird, Jack, Geary etc?

I have most of them anyway. I picked up Dyson because I had a solid team, only 2xxk left to spend in the midfield and there was talk of him doing well this year.

I think the point is that there is a difference between him "under performing" and not meeting expectations.

I'm not criticising your selection. I had him too. I'm an Essendon supporter and don't rate Dyson as a footballer. He pisses me off b/c I got sucked in and went against my better judgement in picking him. Thought he might have scored similarly to as Houli has done. He's been my worst pick, apart from Meesen, who has never started. Wish I'd gone Masten and kept the extra $120k for trades!

He'll probably be traded out for someone like Carazzo next Friday I think, but he's defintely going. I've only seen him play twice and I was pretty unimpressed with the way he plays/positions himself, especially when you look at someone like Rhys Plamer with 5 or 6 games in AFL footy.
